Seamstress Rec-NoVa

So I attempted to be cheap and take in a bridesmaid dress myself and it didn't turn out well!  If you have anyone you would recommend for alterations I would greatly appreciated it!  TIA

Re: Seamstress Rec-NoVa

  • Are you in Alexandria? I have had really good alterations done at the dry cleaner by the Harris Teeter on Duke Street.

  • I had my wedding dress altered at Fashion Dream in Arlington (between Courthouse and Clarendon) and she did a great job. It's a mom and pop shop, so they don't have an address, but you can look up all the contact information on Yelp.  They do a lot of wedding and bridesmaid dresses.
  • Luis Tailoring in Old Town Alexandria altered my bridesmaids dress - he did a fabulous job.  One small suggestion, give him a hard deadline at least a week before the real deadline and call and make sure it's done before you go and pick up.
