Dish Network is here doing some work today. Last week we had three electricians in the house.
Do you ever get kind of freaked out about having strangers see the inside of your home? I think I'm hypersensitive since having a baby.
And I don't mean having them see the inside because it is a mess...I mean see the inside and see that you have a baby, some nice things, etc.
Re: Strangers in your home
It depends for me, I am not so concerned when it is a contractor that I have hired like our electrician or Glitzy's H.
I am always a little more freaked when it is from a larger company because you are dealing with someone different every time. They seem to be less respectful of your space in general.
No, it doesn't bother me (except for the part where they see how much of a mess my house is). I mean, I don't let random people off the street inside, but electricians and satellite installers? It don't give it a second thought.
ETA: Maybe it's because I was a single female homeowner before DH and I met, or because I lived alone for several years. I don't know. It's simply not practical or productive for me to not allow people into my home during the day when I'm here with DD.

I don't get as weirded out as I get annoyed. We had the construction team for the garage and then a roofer. They showed up randomly and sporatically at all hours. Then they need power, so they need to hook into our indoor outlets. I always had to stop whatever I was doing when they arrived to help with that whole process. Which is annoying with a baby who needs breakfast/nap/potty time, etc.The roofer was a guy from our church would would walk INTO our house and be on our roof without us knowing. He wouldn't be there before I showered, but then he'd be on my roof as I needed to get clothes(we have dormers). It was 3:30 pm and I was complaining to DH about that, upstairs and all of a sudden I heard the compressor start. Which the plug in was in the basement. With the BABY MONITOR ON! Adrian was crying and I ran upstairs the night before and was too lazy to shut it off after going upstairs the night before. Must have heard our conversation, as he was way more respectful after that.
