We just had an in home cleaner come and give us an estimate on Friday. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you pay if you have a person come to your house and clean?
I don't think our estimate was too high, but I have a hard time rationalizing spending $105 bi-weekly on house cleaning. This is cleaning our entire downstairs, steps, master bath, hall bath, vacuuming our room and DD's room.
Convince me its worth it!!
Re: In home cleaning
We spend $150 biweekly for just the upstairs. It's hands down the best money that we spend each month - the peace of mind of knowing *someone* has deep cleaned my house twice a month and the extra time that I get with DH and DS are worth so much more than that!!
ETA: Oh - and you totally save money on cleaning products.

Ditto Rags... I use to spend $75 on weekly cleaning. It was worth every penny to not have to worry about getting the house cleaned on the weekends when I was home.

We have had our cleaning person for about six months, and I don't think I could ever go back! Well worth the $!
We paid just over $100 biweekly and that was for the whole house - 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath and a basement. It was the best money we spent each month! It was totally worth it to not have to agonize over whether I was going to spend time cleaning or hanging out with my kid, and my weekends were suddenly so much more enjoyable. We started just before DD's 4th birthday party and it was amazing the difference it made in the party prep, the bulk of which falls to my shoulders.
Whats considered large? She is also doing a lot more than I think is necessary in a regular cleaning. Like cleaning windows and blinds. Also, the majority of my downstairs is hardwood floors, which she is vacuuming, then cleaning with murphy oil.
