We decided to host it since we couldn't really plan anything for December/Christmas. It is only our parents, our brothers and their others, and we're looking at 19 people.
When do you start your holiday shopping?I have started doing some. I am making some jams, jellies, relishes, DIY crafty stuff for some of the adults, and I have the kiddos started.
Trick or Treeting this weekend
Trans Siberian Orchestra next weekend with DH cousin and his GF, then dinner hopefully.
I need to go in and get the wart removed on my thumb for a 3rd time! Calling today to make an appointment.

Over Veterans day we're going to our friends' home (about 2 hours away) to see them one last time before they have their baby (they are in their late 30s and tried a while to have a baby, so we are super stoked for them!). Other than that no huge plans.
For Thanksgiving we don't really travel, my family is about an hour and 15 minutes away and his family is about 40 minutes away. It should be nice having that long weekend.
Actually, since we weren't getting trick-or-treaters DH and I went to Walmart last night and started Christmas shopping. We have my mom, his niece and my niece taken care of. Boom! I love Christmas shopping.

We're going to Orlando with friends and going to the Wizard World of Harry Potter. I'm so excited!
When do you start your holiday shopping? Usually I start at the craft fair that is in town next weekend. I'm skipping Black Friday this year so I guess better get on the ball.
Any big plans this month? Yes! DH and I are going away for a long weekend sans Janie.
Will you travel for Thanksgiving? Yes. DH's brother and wife and baby come here every Thanksgiving so we'll spend it up at MILs. This is going to be our first overnight there with Jane.

No--my family is all here and now DH's mom is here too (even if not, we wouldn't travel to CA).

I actually had stuff for Taryn for this Christmas before last Christmas.

I feel like this is the month we'll kick into high gear with baby stuff! My shower is on the 12th, then we'll make the shift with the furniture in the guest room/office/nursery, get the nursery together, etc. I'm anxious to get started and excited to have some down time to do it, we've been really busy lately.

Staying local for Thanksgiving, I probably shouldn't be traveling at that point anyway!

I usually don't start until after Thanksgiving, sometimes shortly before. I haven't even thought about it and am already overwhelmed with trying to think of stuff! I have no ideas for anyone.

I've already picked up a few things, but DH has the day off Saturday so we are going to go on a Christmas shopping date.
Any big plans this month? Kayleigh and I are leaving tomorrow for a 10 day trip to my parents in AZ! Really excited about the trip but dreading the 3 hour flight since we're both getting over colds.
Will you travel for Thanksgiving? We're going to Dh's coworkers and fiancees. They live 45 minutes way and in snow/ice on some parts of the road like last year it'll feel like a big long trip

DH's birthday is coming up, but nothing big happening. Long weekend for Veteran's day will be nice-will get lots of work done on the deck/house/nursery.

Traveling? Nope; most all of Tyler's family lives locally, and my family rarely does anything for Thanksgiving other than a meal with me, my brother, and my parents.
Holiday shopping: It's different every year. I mostly shop online, so I'll probably just start doing that in bits and pieces any time now, depending on the sales.

Any big plans this month? My u/s and my n/t scan are both this month! Also, my birthday is at the end of the month, not a huge deal but I get to go to one of my favorite restaurants.
Will you travel for Thanksgiving? Just to our parents' houses. My parents have a 2 pm dinner followed by slovenly watching football, so it works out for us to hit his mom's house for a 6 pm dinner. That night, we'll head back to my mom's and sleep over to do Black Friday in the morning.
When do you start your holiday shopping? I buy Natalie a couple of items per week starting this week. I start extended family on Black Friday.

Will you travel for Thanksgiving? We are intown with DH's family this year, but will travel for Christmas.
When do you start your holiday shopping? We've already purchased one gift. I plan to make bath crayons for 3 of the 4 nieces/nephews (other one is too old). I need to get cracking on gifts for others. I hope to make some crocheted ornaments this year.

Will you travel for Thanksgiving? We just decided a couple days ago to drive to MN to see my family. I'll be 35 weeks and it will be a 13-14 hour drive, so we'll only go if I have no medical issues come up and the weather is good.

1. I have a client due on November 23 so I'm on call for most of the month. Hoping to get knocked up in November! I'm on CD 36 right now and still no AF (usually 32 day long cylces but I had that weird spotting thing) Testing tomorrow morning.

Any big plans this month? Well the twins turn 1 tomorrow!!! Then we just have some birthday parties to attend (kids and then adult ones). Just chilling until Thanksgiving time! Then we also get to celebrate my birthday!!
Will you travel for Thanksgiving? Yes, we are going to NJ/PA for Thanksgiving. We are having a birthday party for the twins on the 26th (my birthday...lol). I hate traveling for Thanksgiving because there is so much traffic!
