Morning!

Good Morning IN's! Who's off today?

For us in Belgium, Nov 1 is All Saints Day so we have a holiday. I am working to save up my time off, but DH took off today. He's been working late so much that he has a lot of comp time. I half expect him to still be in bed when I get home.

QOTD: If you had a free, unexpected day off with your DH - what would you do?

We're headed to the Maldives on Christmas Eve!

Re: Morning!

  • Morning! It's a working day here in the UK, but thankfully I'm at home today. It's rainy outside, but the leaves have started to peak so there's a nice burst of color to break up the gray.

QOTD: If I found out this week, I think we'd mostly veg, as we both seem to be very tired recently from a lot of travel, etc. If it was a nicer time of year/a nice day, we might do a walk somewhere or a day trip.

  • Good morning! I'm at work, and it is less than exciting.

I will say, since the time change I have really been enjoying the sunlight on my way to work. Sadly, I know I don't have much time until the only daylight I see is through the windows at work.

QOTD: If BF and I had the day off we'd probably go out for breakfast and then maybe go to the museum. If it's a nice day we could do some window shopping with a coffee, and then maybe chill out at home with a movie.

  • Morning. I'm sitting here on my own. DH just went to bed, and DS isn't up yet. The peace and quiet is magical.

I doubt I'll be doing much of anything besides paying bills today. It's cold outside and I feel like being a lazy bum.

QOTD: If DH and I had an unexpected day off, we'd probably do the same thing we do every day. He'd sleep all day and I'd be in charge of the kid and household. If he wasn't sleeping, we'd probably sit around and veg as a family, watch a few movies and relax.

  • Good morning! I'm working today. I could use a day off, fortunately I am on vacation all next week!

QOTD: Here in Chennai, we would probably veg all day and then go out for dinner. If we were home, we would probably take the dogs for a hike, go mountain biking, or go snowboarding depending on what season it was.

  • Besides being awesome ladies, I knew there was I reason I should stick around IN! The late pregnancy insomnia is driving me insane.  Really it is, BSC cuckoo.  I'm wide awake by 3 am every.single.morning and raring to go.  I could run a marathon right now and actually thought about it for half a second this morning.  Because what else is there to do?

If I start to not make sense during these last 9 weeks, please feel free have a good chuckle at my expense.  At least my IN are up an at 'em with me to keep me company!

QOTD: We'd probably sleep in, hang out around the house, maybe take a leisurely lunch and a movie, maybe go shopping a bit. Oh that sounds lovely.

  • Morning!  Going to try to get back to the gym today, it has been too long.  Although I was planning on staying at work late (to take advantage of the internet) to help with the job search, so we'll see.

QOTD:  At this moment, job search and/or pack.  Normally we'd chill for a bit, then go for a bike ride or go to the park with our dog if the weather was nice.  But we haven't seen the sun for days, so most likely we'd stay indoors and bake.  I'm trying to convince a co-worker that they are missing out by not having brownies here, so we gotta bring some brownies in to work.

  • Morning!  Another day of work here, but DH gets off early today, so we're going to hang out after work and go for a walk, do something outside.

QOTD:  If we both had a day off, we'd probably plan a day trip somewhere.

  • Good morning!  Today is packing afternoon!  I'm working on packing things in our apartment today.  Wahoo!

QOTD:  We do have a day off today. DH and I are chilling on the couch, watching a movie.  Neither of us could sleep in, I think DH is also suffering from pregnancy insomnia.  We had a nice breakfast and we'll hang out for a while.  This afternoon, he has to work on the house.

I've never heard of "pregnancy insomnia" - can someone fill me in? Does this happen to a lot of you?

Has anyone experienced the "nesting" phenomenon - like wanting to constantly clean and better your home in prep for the baby? I read about it somewhere...

  • Good morning, just got off the bike. Have a podiatrist appt this morning to see if I need another foot surgery, last was just over 3 years ago :( Had a great time out to dinner with DILF last night :)

QOTD: No H but if it wasn't a bank holiday I'd be at the DMV changing my name and registering my car in it

  • Morning! Mint, how many dates has it been with DILF?

Belgian, I haven't suffered from pregnancy insomnia yet, but I generally don't sleep well. My back hurts, or I have to pee, or it just takes a lot of effort to get comfortable. The only time I've woken up and stayed awake, my mind was preoccupied with something.

QOTD: It's a gray day here so if H and I both had the day off unexpectedly, I'd want to catch an afternoon movie and then maybe spend hours cooking a nice dinner together.

  • Good morning! Am feeling much better after a positive trip to the physio yesterday. Am starting to feel like I might get better soon :-)

QODT: We are terrible for being lazy on random days off... we tend to be super busy most of the time so when we have the chance, we just lie around watching terrible TV (me) or playing video games (him).

  • Good Morning! I'm back from five days off -- my last vacation of 2011.  BF and I were up in NYC relaxing with family and wrapping up his last few days with his company.  He resigned at the end of last month and is ready to start a new chapter.  I'm really excited for him and all of the possibilities that have opened up as a result :)

QOTD: I randomly have this coming Saturday off (without having to ask for it), so we're either going to spend the day going to TEDxOrlando or Epcot's Food and Wine Festival.  Either would be fantastic.

I couldn't sleep well starting at about 3rd tri because of various aches and pains, but some women do get a form of insomnia. Nesting didn't hit me too badly, although one day I randomly decided our toilet was really germy since we're in a rented apartment (mind you, we'd been living here for 1.5 years at that point) and spent about 30 min cleaning and disinfecting the toilet. Pretty sure that counts as nesting. Lots of women on my bump month board got more productive nesting urges, like doing stuff in the nursery, cleaning the whole house, etc.

QOTD: We have the day off as well, but we're lame. We spent the morning taking turns entertaining DD and doing housework, then went for a walk, and this afternoon it'll be more of the same.

Besides getting up every 3 hours to pee, I usually can't get comfortable with this big ol' belleh!  But for the past 3 weeks or so I've been waking up at 3 or 4 am and can't go back to sleep.  Don't know if it is pregnancy hormones, anxiety, symptoms or what.

Nesting hasn't really hit me yet.  Not sure if it will.  I do want to get the nursery together, but don't feel the overwhelming urge to clean/organize the rest of the house.
