  • My weekend was nice, definitely way too much snow for a weekend in October!

We ended up with about 18 inches total.

Sunday we just watched football all day, and watched my poor Cowboys get DESTROYED by the Eagles, no fun at all. We had no internet at the office so I am currently working from home which isn't bad, it just means I will be home for all of the trick or treaters!

  • We had a sleepover with a 2 year old and it was SO fun.  She was def. a handful but slept better then I did! :)
  • My weekend was pretty good. On Friday I worked in NYC and met up with two friends for dinner. We were hanging out in my friend's apartment in the city for a while afterwards before me and my friend who also lives in Hoboken headed home. Usually I'm the one waiting for DH and I'm not big on being out late... and around 11 PM he called to see where I was... I think he was worried about me. It was pretty cute actually.

Saturday we were planning to go apartment hunting, but instead I sat around all day in my PJs because of the snow. It was glorious :)

Yesterday was a debachle. DH and I planned to head to a town about 15 minutes north of us to grab lunch at Outback (we were craving burgers) and then hit a Trader Joe's there. We got to Outback and it was closed... but the sign said it was open at that time on Sundays. Strange. Then we get to Trader Joe's and it was closed too! They had a giant dumpster out front and were throwing tons of stuff away. It dawned on us that the power must be out in that town, and TJs was throwing away all of the perishable food. What a shame. Then we tried going to our regular supermarket and it was packed, not a parking spot to be had. We called it a day and had leftovers for dinner :)

  • Mine was okay.  Saturday morning Shaun felt the baby!!  There was a nobby body part right next to my belly button so I told him to come feel and shortly after he felt that the baby moved and Shaun said he felt the "wave".  He was really excited.

Sunday I was in the kitchen all day making lunch and cutting up apples.  Also had a chance to do some sewing last night but botched it.

  • The weekend ruined my plans for Saturday night, so no Halloween for me :(  My friends ended up all going out, but they are much closer to Hoboken than I am and most of them live there.  I was the furthest away and would have been driving alone, so no way!  I was disappointed!!!

But then, the rest of our weekend was great!!!  Sunday was Kevin's bday, and I got this GREAT Groupon deal for the Borgata in Atlantic City.  It included the room, dinner for two at Wolfgang Puck's (we had the most amazing dinner and wine!) and two tix to the comedy show which was okay.  We each got spa treatments (not included) and breakfast this morning at the buffett.  We both love a good omelet station haha!  It was a great time, and a much needed "mini vacay" even if it was just one night away.

We just got home, playing hooky from work, now I'm making some chicken soup and hoping we get some trick-or-treaters.

  • Mine was ridiculously crazy, but still good.

Friday night was awesome watching the Cards win the World Series.  DH got home in about the 3rd inning so we watched the game together.

Saturday morning I went out to get WS shirts for my friends and their kids in TX.  Then did the rest of my errands.  DH and I went to Olive Garden for dinner to use a gift card we had then I came home and made a batch of candy bark for work.

Sunday morning I got up and made another batch of candy bark then DH made a quick breakfast for us.  I spent the afternoon with my GFs at an Apple Butter Festival and got a few Christmas gifts.  Came home, made dinner and basically crashed after that.

I am still tired today and now I think I may be getting sick.

    Anniversary

  • We had a busy weekend. Saturday morning I had to work. As soon as I got home I had to get started on the food for the party. Hubby wasn't much help at all. He was very crabby. So I was rushing to get everything finished as people were showing up. But everything turned out ok. My friend who is 2 months pregnant slipped on the steps which scared/worried me, but I think she is ok. She was more embarrassed than anything and worried because she spilled water all over.

I had rough night and stayed in bed most of Sunday until I had to get dressed and ready to go to work for a floorset. I slept in today too and am feeling a little better. I am already working on taking halloween decorations down inside the house.

  • No snow in Michigan which was a HUGE surprise since we always get it.  Chilled most of the time.  Had SD this weekend and we all went out to dinner Saturday since Mike worked & didn't feel like going to the farm for the hayride and corn maze (next year!).  Victorious football all weekend and productive organizing on Sunday.

  • I had a good weekend. Friday night Jeff made me a delicious grilled steak, then we chilled and watched Paranormal Activity 2...I thought the first one was better.

Saturday I got up early because we were having people over for the Husker game that started at 11. Cleaned and made BBQ chicken, hung out with friends (used the "I have a UTI, so I can't drink" excuse...which worked nicely, then went to my parents for a bit. Jeff had a bachelor party for a classmate, so I watched some TV, read half of the Belly Laughs book, and went to sleep. Woke up REALLY sick at about 2 am, and Jeff got home right then (which was early considering most bach parties in this area) and rubbed my back til I felt better.

Sunday we had some friends over for football all day, which the Lions STOMPED!

It was a nice, relaxing weekend. We have a family event for Jeff's side of the family this weekend. They are drinkers, and usually push me to drink, so I might have to use that good UTI excuse again! Hehe!
