...I know, some of you are probably sick of all of these New England pics if you're on FB...but I still can't believe we're covered in snow and without power. Since the trees haven't lost their leaves (or even changed colors yet), branches and powerlines are down everywhere. The past two days are like a dream, and I can't believe I already don't have school tomorrow!
What is the craziest, is that we didn't have to worry about this for our Jan. 2nd wedding, but we had to deal with people not showing up for our Halloween party!
...I also feel extra bad for any brides who had planned on a beautiful fall wedding yesterday, only to end up with snow!
Re: tell me what's wrong with this picture...
How have your leaves not turned yet? It's practically November!
I'm sorry you're without power, hopefully it will be restored soon. These things always take the electric companies by surprise it seems.

They haven't turned because it was 80 degrees about two weeks ago, so they haven't really had much of a chance.
I'm not holding out much hope for our power to be on soon because there are so many people without power. With the hurricane, my town had 1900 without power...now, there are 10,000 without power.
Sigh...this coming weekend we're going to put together an official emergency box to be a little more prepared next time. Two state of emergencies in two months? what is this crap? haha
I feel so backwards. It's getting on to summer here and I feel so lost and mixed up. I wish I had more scenes like that.
I always complained when I was wearing shorts on Christmas Day in NOLA that I never wanted to live in a place with a hot Christmas ever again...and look where I am now.
I hope you get power restored soon. And I'll send you some of my 80 degree days.
Wow, that is a lot of snow. I heard there were sooo many people without power. That's got to be hard.
Even though I will keep my power, I kind of wish we got snow. We are just far enough north to get nada.

We're having a slumber party!
Last night, my grandfather, aunt, uncle and two cousins stayed at my parents too. DH and I had to sleep on the floor in the office (my brother took my mattress when he moved to Boston..not his of course).
My Aunt and Uncle havent even been home yet (they were in MD for the weekend), so they just went home to assess the damage, but they live in a town that has been all over the news. They're coming back tonight.
I'm using this as an opportunity to cook for everyone! I'm going to make crock pot mac and cheese, roasted veggies and baked chicken!

I'm trying a new recipe tonight..if it works out, I'll share it!
Yeah, that was me on Saturday! My couple got married in the snow! It was crazy and pretty and there was a LOT of drinking once the ceremony was over! I will post a preview pic on my FB page later this week! Their portraits came out SO cool!

aww I can't wait to see!
Yes, PLEASE share the crockpot mac and cheese recipe! I'm trying Skinny Taste's mac and cheese this week, but I'm sure it won't be as good.
