I got my CHI! (Online shopping tip included)

I believe Rachel was the one who highly recommended the CHI for straightening hair a long while back, and I had looked at buying it. I decided I wasn't ready to spend $70-80 for a straightener, so I procrastinated buying it.

My H uses amazon.com for buying a ton of things, and has downloaded this app for it called camelcamelcamel which shows the price history and will alert you when the price drops to a certain amount selected by you. (we use FireFox, I don't know if IE has it or not) I decided to use this feature and wanted to buy it for under $40 since the lowest price ever was $30 (plus shipping I'm sure). Last week it went to $38.99! It was about $45 with shipping but still not bad! I highly recommend using this tool if you are looking to buy something but can wait to get it.

My CHI arrived yesterday so I am looking forward to using it tomorrow since I'm not going flat today. Yay! I love online shopping :-)

  • Yay!!! It was me - I love that thing. And that is a ridiculous price for it - let me know how you like it :)
  • That's good to know. I've had my eye on the CHI for a while... I keep hoping my hairdryer and/or straightener will stop working so that I have an excuse to buy new ones.

  • That's awesome! My SIL has a Chi and loves it. I have naturally straight hair, so the cheapo brand works for me...but my MIL got me an expensive curling iron a while back that works wonders!!!

  • Used it this morning, and I LOVE it! It's so lightweight compared to my old bulky one, and it does the job real quick and leaves the hair super flat. I tried giving my bangs a little wave and it made it a curly-q! I undid that but found I could add some curl to the ends of the rest of my hair if I wanted! My old one couldn't do that!
