AWing my Halloween decorations - I did a Pinterest project!
I didn't get a chance to AW my decorations this week. I did an actual project from Pinterest - I did the jars tinted with modge podge and food coloring that have been going around, and then I painted jack o' lantern faces on them.
My camera's not good enough to get a lit photo of them, but here they are:

I had them out front on our porch (no photos that don't show our house number & no time to edit one this morning). I did hear at least one mom say they were cute as she walked by.

very cute! did you just put food coloring in the MP to tint it?
"What is a week-end?"
I used this tutorial, which I found through Pinterest:

I did two rounds of the tinting. The first time I followed the tutorial, and mixed the food coloring in a ramekin. But, the color did not come out as strong as I would have liked. I think that was partly because I let them drain for more than 30 minutes before I dried them in the oven. I also think that it was because the modge podge diluted the color, since it's white.
For the second try, I just poured a bunch of modge podge into another container, and mixed it with a little water, then added the food coloring directly, so I had better control over the color.
I think the only real reason to mix the colors in ramekins is if you are doing a bunch of colors, and you don't have enough disposable containers (or containers you use strictly for crafts) to mix the colors directly into the modge podge.
I had battery powered tea lights in them to light them when it was dark (I just took them out for the photos since they were not on.
