Every now and then, people amaze me

In a good way... I was surfing on lunch and found this clip from a show on ABC called "What Would You Do".  The clip was filmed in Farmers Branch (and they make it look total back woods)... but I am so proud of this clip, I literally got choked up.

It's a little long, but it will make you proud:

  • That was really cool - thanks for sharing!  I realize that some people still have these kinds of prejudices, but didn't their mamas ever teach them that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all?  (I know that guy was acting, but still - I'm sure it happens for real.)  It makes me sad to even think about attacking someone for their personal choices like that.
  • I was glad so many people stood up for them! I think they were hoping for a different response from us texans.

I wonder though if the reason it wasn't the same up north was the scene. A little lunch place versus a bar.

  • That was an interesting clip and I'm glad to see the responses that the some of the other customers had.
  • I don't know if they still air this show on Friday nights but after watching this last season, this show gets you thinking and makes you more aware of those around you.

That's why I like it. I watched a few more - like bullying, teenage drinking, a son coming out to his Dad... they were all interesting.  And they definitely help restore my faith in people!
