I was just on Pinterest. "Marriage" is a noun. Not a verb. As cute as that quote is, I cannot in good faith allow you to frame that for your bedroom! I like you way too much for that!
Marry is a verb, Married is a verb, but Marriage is a noun.
That quote always drives me bonkers!

it's supposed to be like that. they know i'm sure technically it's a noun but their point is that it requires action like a verb. you've never heard people say that about other words? it's just a cutesy way of saying not to be passive.
I didn't even read it that closely to realize it wasn't correct! I just liked the message it sends in general.
Oh, and I don't want to hang it in my bedroom--I'm just too lazy to change the description on most of my pins!
If they did it on purpose that bothers me even more! Not Carly & Danielle of course, the original person they're quoting.
I get the point, but when it says "Marriage is not a noun, it's a verb" that just isn't true.

Also - maybe I just don't get "cutesy". I could be too literal for cutesy.
I can't stand when people change C's to K's like "Kotton Kandy Shop". Gaaahhh!!! (Except for Klassy, because that's funny).
One of my favorite places here just changed their name to "It's All So Yummy Cafe". Cutesy. I shudder.
Probably so. She is an author. Editors would have seen it and changed if it wasn't their intention for it to be that way.
I didn't even know she was an author.
At any rate, I didn't mean anything by pointing it out to the girls and I didn't comment on their Pins specifically for that reason. I was just messing around. Guess that came across wrong.
