Re: Thankful Tuesday

  • I am so thankful that th power at my workplace is restored for the residents sake. Old people are not happy without heat or stoves!

I am also thankful for my trip with DH to Baltimore this weekend! We're meeting up with Stacy Friday at lunch (Yay!). I booked a food tour of Fells Point on Saturday and can't wait! A lot of people reviewed it on tripadvisor.com and enjoyed it. Its a surprise for DH so I think he'll love it! I'm so looking forward to some quality one on one time w/DH away from home. (I won't likely be around Friday am so hopefully someone else can step in for Friday Five?)

Oh, where are you eating dinner? I highly recommend the Rusty Scupper. It's in the middle of the harbor, you can't miss it. It's a little pricey, but so worth it if you love seafood.

  • Wait it's only Tuesday?? Crap!

I'm thankful that DH and I have gotten really committed to being healthier. We re-started the south beach diet this week (Phase 1 for two weeks SUCKS but after that it's really not even hard, I don't know why we ever stopped) and have both been working out more. I have pretty consistently exercised for a while, but I'm soo thankful that he is getting healthier and it also motivates me to work even harder. Here's to losing 10-15 by Thanksgiving!

I'm also thankful that my work stress craziness is slowly but surely decreasing, and I'm really starting to feel like I fit in. Yay :)

  • I'm so very thankful that this LO is sticking so far. It is so hard to believe that it isn't all in your head until you actually see it. Here's to keeping sane for another two weeks!!!

I'm also very thankful that Jeff is starting to get understanding about my craziness at times. I also asked him if he had any guesses as to what we are having...and he said, "No. I don't have any guesses...cause I know it's a boy." Well...my parents have five grandchildren which four are girls...so he better not get his hopes up...

  • I am thankful my 2 BFFs and I were able to spend the day together Sunday at the Apple Butter Festival. We got some Christmas shopping done and had fun together.

I am secretly thankful that noone was able to come to my Pampered Chef party tomorrow.  My living room is currently a disaster and I have not had time to get it cleaned/straightened up.

  • I am thankful that we both have jobs (despite me hating Shaun's job).

I am thankful that Shaun was able to feel the baby this past weekend.

I am thankful that my second take on a sewing project worked out.

The food tour is a number of different restaurants in the area, I don't know which ones. I actually have been to the Rusty scupper, so depending on our schedule we might get there. We're going to the Pratt street ale house one night which I found online bc they have a brewery affiliated with them. So many good places to choose from to try!

  • I am thankful that my Dad's brain surgery and Grandpa's pacemaker surgery went well last week, it's been a pretty stressful time for the family so I'm glad these were pretty uneventful.

For breakfast you guys should really try Blue Moon Cafe.  Sometimes there is a wait...but well worth it. It was featured on diners -drive ins- and dives...the cap'n crunch french toast rocks as does the eggs benedict and huevos rancheros (sp?)  :)

  • How funny is it that we now check out DDD or MvsF websites for places to eat! Hahaha! : ) Jeff and I do that, too! Man vs Food was just in Omaha the other night, and I now have a new steak place to try next time I am there!!!

Oh yes! We went there, too and it was great. The earlier you get there the shorter the wait is. You're going to have so much fun!

  • I'm thankful that I have a whole week off next week.  I'm so overwhelmed at work, and I could use some time to do NOTHING!
