It's kind of nice.
There is a guy who works in the office across the building from me and we say hi and chat in the kitchen, etc. He's a geek (network administrator) but a cute geek (and TALL), and I didn't even know his name, so I looked him up on LinkedIn. And tried to find out how old he was by doing a google search. lol. Pretty harmless, right?
So the next day I'm in the kitchen and he comes in and I casually say "hey, I realized I don't even know your name [I totally did at that point]. I'm gault" and we exchanged names. A week or two passed and he was a little less talkative and less friendly. I was all, hmm. Eh, maybe he's got something else on his mind than the random person he meets in the kitchen.
It wasn't until about a week after that I realized... people can track who viewed them on LinkedIn. Either I am totally overthinking it, or he is repulsed by the crazy chick in his building who cyber-stalked him and pretended not to. lol
I COULD be overthinking it. Just a little.
Re: I'm noticing boys again.
Oooh that's interesting about LinkedIn! It's a good thing FB doesn't tell you such things or some super random people I haven't talked to in over a decade would be creeped out on the regular.
I am happy you are noticing boys! Now quit creeping on them and just meet them for real!
bbe, you can set your LinkedIn profile so people only see it as a generic "person" who viewed their profile, and not you specifically. I hadn't done that. oop!
I dunno. I don't know if I'm ready. Plus I'm still, well, big. It's hard to date in Cali when you're a chubster.
Lunch! or Coffee!
Casual, of course.
Oh, are you eating now? Me too. Care to join me?
Do you watch HIMYM?
This reminds me of the episode where Ted went on a date and they promised each other they wouldn't do any online research before the actual date.
All of this :-)
Don't worry, I'm not stressing on it. I'm guessing he does have a girlfriend - from what I've seen, he texts more than any single dude I know.
I took a peek at my old profile from okcupid, and a dude had apparently messaged me this morning asking what my favorite fuzzy animal is. Slim pickins out there.
What the hell happened with LDG dude?
pm me if you want.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
I'm so glad you're back!
Short version: He had Peter Pan syndrome, despite very small efforts on his part and large efforts on my part to get over it. lol
