Happy Day After Halloween! How was everyone's? Did any of you have your babies/kids in cute costumes?
I got home and we ordered pizza. I handed out candy to trick or treaters. This was our first Halloween in our house so I was excited to do that. Last year at our townhouse, I only had 2 trick or treaters and I was so disappointed. Then, we ended up going up the street to a neighbor's who were having a small party. Her parents-who are our next door neighbors-were supposed to tell us about it but forgot and we were out of town over the weekend. So when they saw us they said come on up. We had a great time. They had food and a ton of desserts and we talked to our neighbors and met their kids' friends parents. DH wasn't there at first and our next door neighbors were like go get him!! We had a great night and it took my mind off life/work stress. :-) Did any of you do something fun? I think my favorite costume I saw was a Lightining McQueen.
Re: Halloween-how was it?
I took the kids Trick-or-Treating to a neighboring town on Sunday night for a little while. Our neighborhood had a parade I took them to on Saturday. My Step-daughter won 1st place for the Fanciest Costume. She was Cinderella. Here is a pic...
I also made fun foods for them. Breakfast was "Moldy eggs, bloody toast and children's legs" and Dinner was "Mummies, bloody intestines and Witches Brew"

I love those mummies!
I am not big into Halloween. Trick or treating was Friday night here, which worked out really well considering the snow hit and the whole area was out of power for days! We handed out candy to a ton of kids and then picked up a pizza.
Yesterday, between no school because of the storm and trick or treating having already happened, did not feel like Halloween at all!
We had our party at school, which I was worried about because we have a new music teacher this year. Last year we had a HUGE school parade and we sang a bunch of Halloween songs outside and it was a HUGE deal. New teacher, she does not celebrate.. NO big parade and songs.
But it all worked out Okay. We had our parade, and then we had our class party. My class did a BUNCH of crafts and fun activities all day to make up for it.. so it went well.
We had less trick or treaters this year.. but we had JUST enough candy.. so it worked! haha.
We did laundry, at spaghetti, and watched TV as the kids came to the door. It was so neat to see all the kids of our neighborhood.
They were too cute!
oh.. and of course Bella dressed up as a Hot Dog!
She was too cute!
I don't know how to PIP though
Very cute! Love to crazy Halloween meals Amy.
My Halloween was pretty lame, to be honest.
I slept in, went and got groceries and did some housework. H got home really late and had to get his gear together and go to sleep. And we had 0 trick-or-treaters. It was very sad!
the kids look cute and those Halloween themed meals are a great idea-I'll bet they loved them!
We didn't do a whole lot-DH went to a party Saturday night but I didn't go. Then on Monday we passed out candy to the trick-or-treaters which is always fun-we got a ton of them probably about 200!
Our burb doesnt' have a set time for trick-or-treaters... and they started at 3:30!! I was worried we wouldn't have enough candy... but we really didn't get many kids. I think we live in the slums of our burb & the kids go to the streets/developments that pass out big candy bars!
The kids that did come were really cute!
