Re: Good Morning IN's!

  • Morning! I'm up early b/c I pick up donuts for DH's 8 AM class on Wednesdays. I am so, so glad it's almost the weekend - and thanks to the upcoming Eid holiday, it's a long weekend! :-) Whoop!

Tonight, I have nothing going on for once, so I can go home, make dinner and just relax! Looking forward to that!

QOTD: Maybe something like favorite Thanksgiving food or tradition or maybe what you're most thankful for?

  • Morning! I'm exhausted, totally did not want to get up.

I have class til 12, then going to the gym and homework.

QOTD: I don't know about Thanksgiving food, I feel like we'll have tons of pumpkin pie pictures or maybe that's just me.

I like the thing we're most thankful for.

  • Morning everyone.  I'm exhausted as well.  Didn't leave the office yesterday till past 11pm.  Probably more of the same today.  I have to put in a full day's work, then at 7pm when NY is waking up it's time to help with the applications.

QOTD:  I'm indifferent.  Lame answer, I know, but true.  Although thing you're most thankful for could be interesting, so long as everyone just doesn't put up a family pic.  I mean, I could have a pic of a healthy colon up.

  • Morning! I'm getting my winter tiers put on today so there goes most of my morning. Nothing much going on this afternoon as my students are not around for lessons. I guess I'll try get some more stuff cleaned up and change the bed sheets. Oh what fun!

QOTD: What about what you would like to blow up in honor of  Guy Fawkes night?

This made me laugh. I know you're completely serious and I understand, but just picturing it is funny. :-)

And if we do the thankful thing then I think we'd have to exclude people. Otherwise my siggy picture is already 1/3 of what I'm most thankful for (the other 2/3s being DH and the fact that I survived HELLP, which I probably wouldn't have even 30-40 years ago). So if most thankful is the theme, then no people allowed!

  • Morning!

I'm babysitting a friend's daughter this morning, she just arrived. It's so early.

This afternoon I'm working at the G20. It was really neat yesterday. Today the Presidents and Prime Ministers are arriving. It's amazing all the security in place, there are around 10 000 police/army in and around the city!

QOTD: Moving away from the fall/Thanksgiving theme... Favourite Cartoon or cartoon character.

It's funny how that sounds normal to me.  Welcome to Turkmenistan!

I like opening up the Nov. theme to something totally random.

  • Azure, that sounds fascinating.

I'm up early and have to get in early.  I have been really busy since I got back from holiday.  Hopefully trying to get back into the gym tonight.

QOTD:  I have no idea, I am not very creative...

  • Good morning! I was up early to work out, then headed to the consulate for more passport pages. Just working for the rest of the day. Maybe thinking about packing for vacation. I'm usually a last minute packer, but I might put a bit more thought into it than usual because I'm nervous about taking a pregnant beach vacation with friends. Feeling like the whale of the group already. Surprise

QOTD: No idea. I haven't changed my siggy in about a year...

  • Good morning!

Azure- how cool that you get to experience the G20!  Amazing!

Not too much going on here today.  I ended up spending yesterday working with DH on our house, which means today, I have to work on packing.

QOTW:  I'm totally going to do the Nov. signature.  How about something that reminds us of Thanksgiving/ fave thing about late fall or Thanksgiving?

  • Good morning! I'm actually feeling pretty good today which is awesome, I haven't felt like this in months. Heading to work soon and then out for sushi tonight with DH and a couple of friends. Should be fun!

QODT: I'm terrible at doing these but we could do something frivolous we're thankful for? Like a pair of awesome shoes or starbucks or whatever?

  • Yeah, I liked azure's idea because it reminded me of Rainbow Brite and my freaking canopy bed with matching bedspread and curtains from when I was five.  I even had a Rainbow Brite towel that was the towel I was using the day I learned to swim (I remember the day).  I think I kept that thing until I was 12 and it was almost see through.  Also, it lightens the mood.

Not trying to force the vote, it just made me laugh so I went with it.

  • Good morning ladies! Absolutely nothing of note going on in my world today.

QOTD: Most of you seem to be forgetting that Thanksgiving already happened, in October. Let's keep it universal folks Stick out tongue

I believe it was a sprite.  Wikipedia confirmed.  Can't believe I remember that; at least the horse name I remember was slightly off.  I have no idea what the series was about now, I just remember being obsessed.

Um... real fans would never forget Starlite's name. Wink I actually dressed up as Starlite one year for Halloween. My cousin was Rainbow Brite.

I thought Starbrite.  I was close.  But that costume is awesome!  My crazy cult thought Halloween was demonic and we weren't allowed to dress up in anything besides Bible characters.  Creatively, it was called "Bible Characters' Day" instead.  Some parents still boycotted that because we were still basically celebrating Halloween.

In later years they got bored and also allowed hobo outfits.  Not sure why that was OK.  Now it just seems horribly insensitive and weird. However, it did allow me to rock my frizzy hair for a day.

  • Morning!

I slept in pretty late (have the day off because of an awkward time doctor appointment - nothing serious, just a see how it's going now after you'd been doing crappy check) and besides that appointment I'll do some chores around the hosue before we leave for CO.

QOTD: I like the what you're thankful for - but not people idea. So it can be the frivolous thing, but also a healthy colon. I do realize november isn't Thanksgiving month for the whole world, but I think it's still a cool idea to get all those random things we're thankful for on here!
