Gmginny's post about bonus points got me thinking about what I heard on the radio a few months ago, how true or not true do you find this to be?
A guy needs these 6 "items" for a woman to find them attractive (in no specific order)
1. A 6 figure income
2. A 6 pack
3. 6 inches (or more) below the belt
4. 6ft tall (or taller)
5. 600 horsepower car
6. 6 months since their last relationship
I personally don't find these all to be true.
Re: 6 - 6's
1. XH made over 6 figures and was up to his eyeballs in debt and still keeps spending. BF does not make 6 figures but has no debt and is happy financially.
2. No six packs here unless we're talking beer.
3. I didn't whip out a ruler. We have no problems in this department.
4. BF and I are the same height and I am not 6'0" or taller
5. I've never considered horsepower as part of my dating criteria.
6. BF was out of a relationship for 1.5 years, I separated/divorced 7 months before we met.
BF meets 2 of those criteria and I am very attracted to him. I'd say I don't believe that list, at all.
Hmm... I don't think I have any of those on my "must have" list.
1) I don't have a 6 figure income, and certainly wouldn't expect that from a guy.
2) I six pack is sort of "meh" for me. Though healthy/fit is nice.
3) Umm...
4) I prefer someone taller than myself (I'm 5'7"), but would date someone shorter.
5) I could care less about cars, I drive a Prius myself.
6) This is not necessarily a big deal, especially if his last relationship wasn't a big deal.
3 and 4, I would say definitely!
1 - I live in a VLCOL area, so very few people have six figure incomes
2 - not important
5- I don't even know what this means!
6 - again not important
LOL. The list is hilarious (hilariously ridiculous), and I love cutter's response!
This reminds me of a scene in Office Space:
Peter Gibbons: What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Lawrence: I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
Peter Gibbons: That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?
Lawrence: Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.
Peter Gibbons: Well, not all chicks.
Lawrence: Well, the type of chicks that'd double up on a dude like me do.
Peter Gibbons: Good point.
I'd advise a guy to steer clear of women who had this list.
1. Nope...better to be in a good spot financially with whatever you've got than it is to be making $$$$$.
2. Nope, I prefer a guy with some meat on his bones! I love to eat, and the guy I'm with has to eat more than me. Period.
3. I'll paraphrase #1 here...it's not what you've got, it's how you use it!
4. Ok, I do like tall, but it is not a requirement.
5. Meh.
6. Over his last relationship is more important than the exact time.
FWIW, BF has exactly 2 of these qualities, and he sure does it for me! (Although, he's pretty darn close to 3 of the others!)
Guess I'm a very lucky woman!
For my bf -
1- Nope - but like others, its what you do with what you have that I find more important.
2- Nope, and that's fine by me.
3 - Never measured but I would say so - even if it was no - it's how he uses it.
4 - Yes - but as long as he is taller then me, I'm content (not hard to do, I'm only 5'4)
5- No, cars aren't important to him - as long as it goes a to b and b to a - he's happy
6- yes - it's me that doesn't have that.
So half? I'm more then happy with being with him!
Return - Lmao! That is great!
