Dexter 10/30/11 *spoilers*
I got super excited when Travis got in his car cuz I was thinking "come on Dexter, get him, get him!" and voila he pulled his move he did in the very first episode. It's definitely getting better now that he is on to the killers.
It stinks that Quinn is most likely going to be suspended or possibly fired for having sex with that chick. I knew it as soon as it was happening.

i'm all torn up about brother sam.
quinn is an idiot. (hi lorena, vampire bill's maker!) i dont like him and i dont care if he gets fired.

I was all dramatic yelling noooooo at the tv when brother sam got shot
and I totally knew I recongized her from some where!
Wtf is up with him letting Travis go? I mean, I know he only kills others that have killed and Travis doesn't fit that criteria, but he's seen Dexter's face, heard Dexter's voice. Letting him go sounds like a bad move.
I like Brother Sam, but I'm still not convinced he's completely good. I'm torn on how I feel about the shooting.
I think I'm in the minority here, but I love Deb. I love how her first thought on the murder-suicide was "What a great place to live!" immediately followed by "I wonder if I can swindle the guy into letting me be the new tenant." She's just so blunt and honest. I'm glad she dumped Quinn.
I also really like the new guy.
Right before Brother Sam got shot, I said " I still think something is up with this guy, he will end up on his table" and then bam. Maybe we will find out more.
I think the new guy is going to be like Doakes and start saying how Dexter is weird and all that crap. So I don't like him.

I think it's mainly to lead him to the creppier guy behind it all, that's his best shot at finding him, especially before the police since they are actually on to him and not Travis
and I love Deb too as well as the new guy
Also, I am so glad Deb FINALLY moved out on her own. I'm so sick of her always going to live with Dexter every time her and some guy don't work out. I wanted to seriously hit her when she was talking down to the sitter. I think the sitter is right and she shouldn't be looking at crime scene photos at the house. And, who puts a diamond ring in someone's desk when they ask for it back so they can return it instead of handing it to the person??? It's expensive as hell. What was she doing with it anyway since she told him no????

I was shocked that Brother Sam got shot. I was really beginning to like him. I think he was really great for Dexter and did a great job of showing the other side of religion to Dexter (as opposed to Travis and the professor).
Did Dexter do the back seat of the car thing in season 1? I thought that was from the books...either way it was weird to see him stray from his MO.
I really liked last night's episode.

She had just as valid a point as the sitter. Harrison has a whole side of the apartment, she should have called Deb in to say good-night. What did she think Deb was doing in there? It was obvious she was working and since she works in homicide, sitter should have pieced it together.
And to be fair, Dexter crashed with Deb with two kids and a newborn in tow. Remember he gave the apartment to Deb when he moved in with Rita. After the murder he crashed with her and she basically moved in with Quinn to get away from the chaos at her place.
This is really only the second time she's crashed consistently with him and the first time was after her fiance tried to kill her. Besides, Dex and Deb are really all they have. She's the only consistent adult in his life, and he is the only consistent one in hers. I think it makes sense.
To pp, I get why he let Travis go but after what happened to Rita, I think he'd be a little more careful letting known killers/accomplices see his face and get away with it. What if they did something to Harrison as payback for Dexter threatening them?
agree. i think he is weird. and will for sure turn out to be a doakes. oh, and he's married? say what? still think he and deb will get it on.
i def yelled out about brother sam. wasnt expecting him to be shot. sad. i sometimes agree with pp's in that i am not convinced that he is good...but i'd like to think he is.
at first i thought quinn was just trying to get info from the professor lady. then i realized he was actually drunk and trying to get laid. i wonder if deb will have to suspend him??
did he actually see dexter? dh doesnt think he did...just heard his voice? idk
