good wednesday morning!
i'm pretty excited for today...i'm going out to lunch with a coworker, and then leaving early for a dr appointment...then going to costco. and who doesn't love costco?! 
we had to give back my parents kitty yesterday
h's family dog is on his way out...he's 16, and had a stroke 2 years ago, survived that, amazingly. he then got a major infection in his eye a few months ago, and went through another surgery...but this time, he's really on his way out. they're trying some meds for a few days, but if it doesn't fix anything (he can't stand up, just spins in circles and falls down), then it will be time to say goodbye to him....it's been tough in our families with our pets lately...none of us want to do it ever again.. ugh. h and i do believe that we'll get them again when the kids want them..but we don't need any of our own for a long time. the heartache...ugh.
okay now that was depressing. yay for costco? have a good wednesday, nesties......

Good Morning! Tillman came to me while eating breakfast and said that his stomach didn't feel right. Since he is Sir Barfs A Lot, when he decided to stay home today, I allowed it. I don't think he's sick, but I don't want to send him and have him barf. He only has a half day on Wednesdays anyway. But, now he's wanting to play with leggos and stuff and I have to be mean and tell him that he has to just lay down and rest. If he isn't really feeling bad, I don't want him to have a fun time "skipping" school, and if he is really sick, he needs to rest.
I got a sneak peak picture from Tillman's photos yesterday and his teeth are yucky (obviously had gone the whole day without brushing - he was at school - he did brush before school). It makes me sick. I hope that the other ones turn out better. I won't be able to use these if his teeth look like this in all the photos and then that's $$$ down the drain! I should have checked, but we raced over there after school, changed his clothes, and his nails needed to be cut really bad. It didn't occur to me to check his teeth.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

Jenn - that's so sad about your H's family's dog. My parents have had 2 kitties (both rescues) since right around the time I graduated high school that we all got pretty close to... one had to be put down 3 weeks ago from renal failure (?), then this week I got an email from them saying kitty #2 (my favorite) has a cancerous lump and won't be around much longer. I think it's even harder to lose a dog than a kitty, but these kitties were both really, really sweet and good companions for my empty-nester mom. I hate hate hate losing pets, even if they're not really "my" pets.
I'm exhausted this morning and still dragging from being sick earlier in the week. I'm supposed to go to a wine bar with a friend tonight but I might postpone if I'm not feeling better later.

Jenn - sorry the pets in your and DH's families are having a tough run
I'm annoyed - I was up early and at the office for a committee meeting that was to begin at 7:30 - it's 7:50 and not a single person is here? What's the point of using meeting requests in outlook that they all confirmed -yet don't pay attention to their calendar.
Sorry to hear you guys have been having so much pet trouble.
That's really hard!!
Wrt Costco, LOL, I told my husband last time I went that it was absolutely the last time I would go by myself until I'd completely mastered grocery shopping with the baby by myself. I was just wiped out completely afterwards!!
Today, I'm in double-digits left until my EDD, woohoo! And we have our biweekly anime night tonight, which should be exciting.
Otherwise.... laundry? It's a slow day.
All this furbaby news makes me
speaking of Costco, we just signed up for the AmEx card there, and I spent $448 in the two weeks!!!! Mind you i have been a costco member for 10+ years so shopping there is nothing new. Sure we had a couple of parties and a couple tanks of gas, but still!
I'm so sorry, Jenn. I can't even start to think about how I will deal with it when the time comes for our pets.
I need to do a Costco run, but I keep putting it off. I love going, I just hate the crowds!
Work has been crazy busy! Add onto that just busy schedules and you've got a Tygirljojo who just wants a couple days to CHILL. Instead I get to fly out to DC next week which means I will be busy taking care of a few things this weekend. Oi.
Am I the only one who has started to think about buying Christmas presents? I'm kind of hoping to avoid last-minute chaos and the stress.

Good morning. It's my birthday today! I'm at work and I'm just not feeling it. I have to teach in about an hour and I hope the class will be ok. I have to go teach in another classroom and not my normal library classroom which is annoying.
I love Costco too but the crowds are too much (and the horrible parking lot). I'd go more often if it weren't so stressful.
DH was at work until 8 pm last night. So I baked cookies. Nothing much better to do.

All this Costco talk reminds me that DH and I need to do grocery shopping today (maybe tomorrow). We'll probably go to FM, but we try to go to Costco once a month if possible.
tygirl: I've just started X-mas shopping, but I still have to get most gifts. I'm hoping to be done by mid-Dec. DH and I spent a lot last month, so I'm waiting for the next CC billing cycle to buy more gifts.

I'm all edgy today and having massive trouble concentrating, so everything is bugging me the eff out. My
is expected Saturday so that's probably why, but this will make it a long 3 more days. Plus it's month-end so we're busy and my boss is all crazy-person and I just want to chill.
Going to the Sounders game tonight, which should be fun but I'm so COLD today don't know how I'll stand the stadium. Also means I can't get to Nordstrom to buy my boots that I NEED until Thursday. I lusted after these boots all last winter but couldn't justify the price around Christmas, then got a gift card for my birthday that would have cut the price in half, went to buy and they were nowhere to be found.
BUT, they must have decided to make them another season because they're back at Nordies and I still have that gift card! (I had lost it for a few months.)
