WTF God, Doctors, whatever - My sweet 58 year old CW who was just diagnosed with brain cancer in September is now being given 6 months to live. That? is not fair.
Re: WTF Wednesday
wow, ouch. T&P for your CW, that's awful.
My WTF --- WTF CEO?! You stand on such principle about closing the agency if enough of our schools are closed, so that employees can stay home with their kids that are off school. Like 80% of our schools are closed (ONE district is on a snow delay instead) and he decides we stay open. Now I don't have kids, I'm just selfish and want a snow day. But what about the people with kids in all those other districts?
First - Ames, I'm so sorry to hear that
That is not fair and I can relate because one of my favorite high up leaders has been fighting cancer for a little over a year now and has gone through hell trying to do whatever he can to fight it and it looks like he's losing now
It's so sad and it's not the same without his sense of humor in the office.
WTF home...how did you get so messy?! There's only two of us and Alex and we're both home more now than before and it seems like it's worse than ever! I need to scrounge up the energy to clean it.
Does it normally snow this early in CO?
Maybe by this time next year, YOU will get to mandate the snow days, boss lady!
I'm so sorry Ames. We had a family friend who had that same diagnosis last year and I know that it's devastating. I'll keep her, her family and all you who know her in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks, girls. Frances is the one of the kindest, most loving people I've ever met. She has 4 kids and 7 grandchildren that really need her. She's been gone from the office since the end of August, and I miss her like crazy, and I also am just heartbroken for her family. She's too young, and it's not fair.
Thanks so much for your T&P's for their family.
WTF Dentist- I do not want you and your evil drill, nor do I want your bills, especially since they'll be happening the week we move. I bought a Sonicare, I brush my teeth, floss and use Listerine twice a day, but I have cavities every time I go. Ugh.
WTF new leasing company- I need a lease, because I need a move in date, because I need to hire the movers. You need to get it together- we're 8-12 days away from the move, I'm done being flexible.
WTF Post Office- sending me a registered mail notice with the wrong pick up post office, so I call to make 100% sure it is there, you say yes, and guess what, it is not! Failure. You're lucky what I picked up was so cute, it saved you from wrath of fire.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Oh Ames.... =(
WTF boss?! I am trying to correct YOUR mistakes, so when I ask you to forward me an email that was sent to you because your address is the default for this client, do NOT throw your briefcase down and yell at me for wasting your precious time because you have too many other things to do.

WTF co-workers. Yesterday WI became the 49th state to allow concealed carry of a weapon. Well our building has the choice of not allowing them (which we will not) and now they are all up in arms that someone will still be able to come in with a gun and shoot us if they are angry and blah blah blah.
Hey guess what?! There was nothing stopping anyone from doing that the last however many years! Also, we are one of the last states to allow this!! Obviously the other states are doing something right with it to not have issues with gun control. And I honestly think that if someone was really going to do harm, it doesnt take this law passing to allow them to do it.
It's not that uncommon. We usually get one or two good snows in before Thanksgiving. But it will be 60 again by next week.
And dude, I'll be SO liberal with snow days when I work for myself, lol.
Sorry to hear about your friend Ames.
I second WTF universe?! (Warning: PG ladies may not want to read this) A coworker lost her baby yesterday. She was 9 months PG. That's the 3rd teacher at our school who has lost a baby at 9 months in the last year and a half. How is that possible? So so sad.
Also WTF is up with everyone being PG but me? I know "everything happens for a reason" and "my time is coming" and all that, but all of Robin's pothead friends seem to have no problem knocking up their girlfriends....
Finally, WTF librarian? I apologize for not writing National Honor Society's meeting on your precious library calendar, but, I mean, you leave at 3 on the dot every day so WTF does it really matter to you. I sponsor 3 clubs at this school. Come yell at me again after you sponsor one.
Thanks girl.
Poor babies! that is so sad. T&P's to your CW's.
And all the baby dust in the world to you, love.
I third this -- Chris and I found out a friend of MIL's daughter lost her 2-month-old to undiagnosed leukemia. I never felt more sick to my stomach....

This is really really upsetting, I cannot even begin to imagine
Lot's of thoughts & prayers all around.
DD, that is so awful. The THIRD teacher in a year and a half? And losing a baby that far in a pregnancy is fairly rare -- how heartbreaking. And MB, stuff like that scares the bejeezuz out of me. I can't imagine having a newborn at home and not knowing something's wrong.
I picked a bad day to read the board! Now I feel like crying at work. Not to mention the weather is horrible. I just want to pick up Kyler from daycare and go home and snuggle with him.
That is so awful.
My DH's cousin had a fullterm stillborn the day after my last D&C, and my good friend who was so helpful to me after my first loss lost her son at 37 weeks from a brain bleed in September. Life sucks so much sometimes.
I am this close to taking up a crack habit to see if that gets me pregnant for keeps, since most of the patients I see who smoke crack have like 9 kids (okay, not seriously going to smoke crack, but it's tempting!)
Mine: WTF Bandaid/DH: I know it's my fault for asking DH to rip the bandaid off my arm after my blood draw yesterday because I am a gigantic wuss, but couldn't you have left some of the skin on the inside of my elbow where it was? Gross PIP is mandatory -- the splotch on the left was from the blood draw itself (my vein blew thanks to the aspirin I'm on), but the rest is where my skin used to be before it ended up on the underside of The Most Powerful Bandaid in the World.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I am going to add a bunch if I dont edit- this week blows.
WTF universe to the 4th - we are more than likely going to have to put two of our dogs down either this weekend or next week. I am praying for a miracle, but I know it just isnt going to happen. One has cancer (my collie) and is 14 years old. he is failing and is suffering and its so hard to see. the other is a 9 year old lab who found us the day we moved to our current farm. She has diabetes and now has gone blind. She is pretty bad off and is struggling now that she is blind. Its awful. I hate it and like to not think about it but its getting to me.
and on all the baby talk- I just want to go snuggle Char baby right now.
Ames - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your CW.
My WTF - WTF New Stove - I tried to make a pumpkin pie for DH's birthday (not a cake lover) and apparently, the rack is defective and the stability bar is on the top making everything tilt forward. Now, DH gets no pumpkin pie and I have to clean the stove.
I know its TMI but I had the same issue with a bandaid only this one is on my boob- yes... I have a bandaid there. I burnt it with a cookie sheet trying to pull cookies out of the oven before they burnt as I forgot them when going up to shower. My robe got caught on the oven and I burnt a 7 inch long mark on the boob. Its been covered but when I pulled the band aid off it ripped my skin. Double ouch!
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Freaking OW, Kel! And Meg! You two need to lie down.
WTF idiots - I just read an article about a guy in Joplin, MO who left his 18 month old kid at home ALONE while he went to an appointment at the methadone clinic. When he returned home, the child was dead. I mean really? how stupid can you be?
This is so sad but it's not even the worst thing a parent has done that I've heard today
We had kids who went on their first overnight visit with their parents in the year they'd been in DCFS custody and by the next day they had given passports and were in Europe...we haven't seen or heard about them since.
Holy crap! That's INSANE.
Ugh, a bad thread to read for sure. How absolutely terrifying to read that 3 women lost babies at 9 months and being 9 months pregnant! I am so scared everyday that I'm not noticing something potentially dangerous like leaking or my water breaking without me knowing or something keeping him in here when he should be out for some reason. I can't wait for him to be out where everyone can see if something is wrong instead of asking me how I feel... because honestly 90% of the time, nothing has changed or feels off... so they just send me on my way... but what if I don't notice! This is my first time after all...
anyway, WTF floors- I clean you once a week these days because nothing I do seems to make this house feel clean enough!
WTF utes- let's get down to contracting for real, I'm tired of constant braxton hicks.
WTF 50% halloween candy at walmart- how am I supposed to resist that?!
WTF weather- I almost wanted my Pumpkin Spice Latte to be iced because between cleaning all morning and it almost being 70 out (and possibly being 9 months pregnant...?), I was sweating in my Tshirt outside...
