Your workout today

If you have worked out today or plan to....

what did you do?

I didn't make time to work out this morning so I will go after work tonight.  I think it's going to be a cross training day so I am always looking for new ideas and different work outs.

Re: Your workout today

  • Pretty boring, 20 min elliptical and then 30 min lift (legs/arms).
  • Ugh! We need a gym membership so badly. It's icky and rainy here and I have zero motivation to go outside to do anything. I might attempt to do a workout video but those bore me. I've been really bad about working out lately--I've gained 8 lbs in 2 months. :-/

Jake, Neena, and I went on a 2-mile walk/jog yesterday evening and that was nice. Neena obviuosly rode in her stroller.

  • Today is a weight day.  I do 20 minutes elliptical warmup (or really, as long as my legs hold up.  I'm still pretty out of shape).  I then do my weight circuit, and then I'll do the stationary bike for another 20 minutes.  We don't have cable at home, so it gives me some motivation to go in (all the machines have tvs).

Jennrs, do you have a YMCA near you?  I'm loving ours.  Childwatch is included for up to 2 hours a day.  I'm loving it there.

  • I'll do a little ZUMBA home action, my instructor is letting me create and teach a dance to "PUSH IT" (because I've been obsessed with the idea lately) so I need to perfect my moves.

Then I'll probably do my 2.7 loop, walk, attempt to run, walk again.

  • Bootcamp this morning.  Consisted of a lot of weighted squats, single leg step ups (with a sandbag), running, jump roping, ab roller, etc.

If you are doing some cross training - on my "off" days, if I want to do some cardio I'll do the bike.  1 min @ level 7, 1 min @ level 15.  Repeat 10 times (so 20 minutes total) and try to keep your rpm at 60+.  If I'm feeling really good - I'll bump up the level 15 to 16, 17, or 18.

If you want to do weights - I'll email you my workout plans.  I think I have 5-ish...3 of which are from a personal trainer and the other 2 me and my partner made up on our own. :)

  • I am going to go for a nice walk once I get home from work.

  • I got up to go to bootcamp this morning, but was so tired I actually went back to bed.  Usually when I'm up I'm up, so that was weird.

This evening I plan on taking Elliot on a short walk, then doing a long walk by myself (Elliot can't go far).  Then I'm going to sand my dresser so that's an arm workout, right?

Dude!!  That's one of my all time favorite songs to work out to.

We do. That's the membership we did have. But, it's $76 a month for a family membership and we can't make it work in our budget. :-(

  • Warm-up cardio and then full body workout. I'll get specific since I've been meaning to send this to MrsB :) Today I'm doing deadlifts, lat pull-downs, shoulder presses, lunges, and abs on the stability ball. If I'm feeling froggy after that I'll (poorly) play basketball w/ DH.
    Happiest place on Earth!

  • I need to get back into it. I have a sinus thing going on and have zero motivation.  Pluss need to leave early to go to the grocery store. Maybe I'll bring up my balnace ball and at least so some ab work.

I have started to do squats for the 2 minutes I brush my teeth in morning nad night. Not much but at least somewhat productive.

Can I get this too?  I'm always looking for new routines for when I'm not with the trainer.  My email address is sziegler@edmc.edu.

Tonight, I think I'm going to do my 3 mile run/walk on the treadmill since I meet with the training tomorrow and Saturday.

  • Run with the running buddy tonight. We're doing our usual loop - 5.81 miles. Afterwards I should really do my leg exercises from physical therapy. I need to maintain that strength so I don't end up with hip issues again! That's a couple different kinds of leg lifts, 1 legged bridges and 1 legged squats.

  • I did aquatic therapy last night for my back pain. It involved lots of walking with styrofoam weights, lunges, etc.

  • I think I'm going to do my prenatal yoga DVD tonight, which isn't much of a workout, lol. Did body pump yesterday and will tomorrow too.

  • I got out with DH and LO yesterday and took a walk in the park.

    Today? Nothing, unless breastfeeding counts.

  • Just got back from Crossfit.  It was a birthday workout for our owner:

    5 rounds for time:

    15 deadlifts

    12 hang power cleans

    9 front squats

    6 push jerks

    at 95 lbs.

  • I warmed up with 15 minutes on the elliptical. Then, I did 15 minutes of abs. I was running late and didn't get to the gym until 5:45 this morning (rather than 5:30), so I could only stay for about 30 minutes.
