This is great timing.

My boss is coming out to observe me today, it is a new requirement in the state that all school employees are observed at least four times a year. Anyway, one of my observations is later today and my morning sickness is in full force. I feel awful and I keep gagging. I'd like to take half a day and go home sick. Nothing like gagging in front of a student and my boss.

  • Ugh, I'm so sorry Brooke-I completely understand.  I have gagged in front of my students too and it's mortifying. In fact, I threw up right before class this morning and I'm over 20 weeks-it's crazy sometimes what our bodies do!

I'll be thinking about you!  Sipping water helps me a lot-does it help?  Do you have any crackers, ginger snaps, anything?  Even hard candy helps sometimes.

Are you taking any meds?  Zofran was great for me.  I stopped taking it last week and was fine until today, but it worked really well.

  • Boy do I know that feeling.  I hope it stays away for the rest of the day for you.  Do you have any go-to cures you can rely on?  Feel better soon... (and woo! for second tri!)

  • Thanks ladies! I made it through the observation with no issues. My ms had been much better, but it came back on Monday. As long as I eat small snacks frequently I do okay. And lemon drops are my best friend. I am SO glad to have that observation done. I know I do a good job, but it is still scary to have someone watch over your shoulder.
