I'm stuck
I just got back from lunch to find out there's a gas leak nearby. The police won't let anybody in or out. Not sure why we can't get out. They have the road blocked off around me.
I wish I took 5 minutes longer coming back from lunch, so they wouldn't let me in

So I went for a walk to find out the scoop for myself. It seems some businesses were evacuated, but not ours. Big boss says to stay put. Boo.
I'm starting to get a headache. I'm sure it's just coincidental, but still has me a little nervous.

My boss just got back. She said she walked through the woods to get past the cop. Lol. Talk about dedication. I sure as hell wouldn't have done that. What a trooper.
New update: Coworkers are starting to trickle in. Sara, you were right. Most are complaining of spending money on things they really didn't need. Wahh! What a sad story.
Depending on the gas and the wind direction it might be safer for you to stay put. As someone who is HAZWOPER certified, I would suggest you listen to what the authorities are telling you. Gas leaks are no joke, you could be killed in an instant and literally not even see it coming. There are many more dangers to gas than whether they are flammable or not. Please be careful.
