Hi everyone! I'm not really new here. I used to post a long time ago.
My name is Rachel. DH and I moved here from Detroit in 2008. We have a DS named Owen who's 14 months old. We live in Katy and have way too many dogs.
Anyway, I know some of you from bunco but always feel like I'm missing out! So I decided to give the nest another try.
Re: Intro
You seem really familiar...
Any luck finding a new daycare? I can see if ours has any openings if you're interested.
Thank you! I'm so jealous of you and Kimmer for getting to move there! We're actually planning to move to Chicago next fall. I love the Midwest and I hope you do too! Let me know if you have any questions. If you don't mind my asking, why are you trying to move there and what's holding you back? Maybe I can help?
Yeah there is a new daycare that opened up near our house. Since it just opened up there were lots of spots open and pretty much her entire class and the baby class moved over there with some of the teachers. Her teacher isn't going because she decided to go back to school but I'm hopeful since she will have familiar faces and her old baby teacher it won't be so hard on her. Its going to be way harder on momma.
A boy of course! Why else would a normally sane woman move across the country?
We've been dating long distance for a year now, so we're just trying to get in the same state. He owns his house, so he's not as mobile as I am. At this point, I just need a job up there. My company is talking about letting me transfer, so I'm trying to see what happens there. That's the only thing holding me back at this point.
I've loved it up there when I've been there, so I'm super excited. Everyone is SUPER nice, and I think the city is beautiful, even though there are some run down parts. I'm hoping that Bing's plans will continue to work and he can revive the city!
Heh. No truer words have been spoken.
I spit the truth, yo.
Hey! I didn't know you were on here! Did you guys end up going to Dewberry Farms over the weekend? Owen loved the little hayride out to the pumpkin patch.
I'm everywhere!!! I haven't been to any GTGs though.
We did indeed! We were carted over to the pumpkin patch in a covered wagon though...we looked at the hay ride wagons longingly.....boo!
Matt fave were the rope webs. I've got to convince Grandpa to build him one! How was TOTing?
We didn't TOT. We just dressed him up and he "helped" us pass out candy. He liked seeing all the other kids in their costumes. How about you?
No, that was one that I had to miss. But I usually make it so maybe I'll meet you another time!
