While you're stuck waiting, I remember we "etalked" once and you gave me some suggestions on dance class for Lily. I finally found a good one for her, and as you suggested it's actually called "creative movement." OMG, she loved it. There was only one other little girl in her class, and she turned out to be Paulina, her little BFF from daycare. So it's been perfect. They've mostly done like you said, played with props, skipping, following directions, etc. But they've learned a few ballet basics, too, and I use the word "learn" very loosely. They learned first position, second position, and plies (insert accent on the e). Well, the other day, she was practicing her plies, and then she started making up her own, and she was doing "pli-ns" and "pli-ees" and "pli-gs," and a bunch of other letters. It was hilarious.

My silly Lily is almost 4.

I just started teaching a private lesson to this high school girl who wants to do a solo in competition. It's her first time. Every lesson her mom brings a stool into the room while I'm working with her & makes comments the whole time. 'Honey, don't forget to breathe'. I kid you not.
It's like Dance Moms. If you haven't seen this, you need to. Just watch one episode. It's more than enough.
