Cheesy?? Thoughts?

So Jeff and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year and I wanted to make it special. I was thinking of having an "I'm Thankful For..." Jar where people can write on pieces of paper what they're thankful for. Then, randomly we can each read one of the thankfuls at dinner and share in what everyone is thankful for.

What do you think?

love, jenifriend

  • That is not at all cheesy!  I love it!  I wish my family would play along, but I doubt they would.  Maybe I'll do this with hubby for the month of November..add one per day!
  • I think it's cool. My only concern would be some relatives finding it awkward reading out other people's thankfuls.  KWIM?

  • I think it's cute if you think they will actually do it.

I just wait until dinner and then force everyone to say what they are thankful for. Everyone is annoyed by it but I don't care - it's important to do and the kids often say funny stuff :)

  • Yea, if your family will do it, go for it!!! I love the idea! I wish I could coach up my niece to say, "I'm thankful for a new baby cousin." But, she wouldn't be able to keep it a secret until dinner! Haha!

I love this!!!! You should just sit beside it and when it's her turn you could just whisper it in her ear. People would be so confused and then it would "click". Do it!

ummm I just realized I called your niece "it". Wow. Sorry! I realize she is a little person and not an "it" - that's what I get for doing 3 things at once!
