Clicky: Seats on a plane

I book a lot of travel for the team I support and find it rather interesting where it seems all guys tend to prefer aisle seat, so I'm curious...

Re: Clicky: Seats on a plane

  • I want whatever seat is closest to the front of the plan so I can get off more quickly.

  • Window.. I hate anything else, because I want to be able to see as we take off and land... and while we are flying!

  • Window - because I like to lean diagonally into the wall and nap :)

  • Aisle. I need to pee a lot and hate climbing over people.

  • aisle for me! I like to be able to stretch my legs into the aisle, plus i can never sleep on flights so I figure I'll give someone else the window so they can lean against it.
  • My real answer is "Next to DH", lol. That said, he prefers an aisle seat, so I typically end up with a middle seat (unless we luck out and it's a 2+3 plane, and then I can have the window and he gets the aisle).

When I used to fly by myself all the time, I'd take anything BUT the middle; I hate sitting next to strangers.

  • I find this interesting - it seems women tend to prefer window.  Myself, I prefer window & H prefers aisle.  My preference is like PPs stated: being able to lean against the window to nap or look outside.  I love looking outside the window - it kind of makes me realize how, in the grand scheme of things, I am only one tiny part.

  • I prefer the window. DH also prefers the window, so when we travel together we generally book the window and the aisle and hope that we don't get someone in the middle. If we do they are generally more than happy to trade the middle for the aisle.

  • If i'm flying with someone, usually the middle or window.
If i'm flying by myself and it is a short flight, window.  Long flight, aisle (small bladder, and i get antsy).
Regardless who i'm flying with i prefer to sit at the front of the wing (b/c there is less motion and i'm not as likely to get motion sick, plus there's a view which is good b/c i'm usually to nauseous to read).

But then if the other people need to get up, they're climbing over you or you have to keep getting up for them.  I like the window, look outside, lean against the wall to sleep and be left alone.  I'll hold it until the next stop.

I'd rather have someone climbing over me.  It's an excuse to get up.  Oddly, i feel like i'm putting them out if i clamber over them, but it doesn't bother me when others need to get past.

  • Aisle, for sure. I like to get up and go pee multiple times during the flight.

    DH prefers the window.

  • aisle, always.

h prefers aisle too...and since he has long legs, i usually let him have it, but i sprawl out between the two seats. i need my space.

I know a couple that sits separately so they can both have window seats.  You could do that. Huh?

haha no thanks. i usually sit like a man. with my legs spread. when he's on the airplane, i rest one leg on top of his. i can't do this with a stranger in the next seat Wink
