What are some of your go-to recipes and snacks, if you don't mind sharing?
(My DH is electing to go on a diet and has asked for my help. This is the one I think he will stick with the best-- he lost 16 lbs on it last year. I am not "dieting" with him as I'll still eat whole grains and fruits, but I am going to make an effort to eat healthier since McNuggets shouldn't be a way of life.)

Re: South Beach/ Low Carbers
So far, I'm keeping it pretty simple...scrambled eggs/hardboiled eggs with bacon, lunch meat with cheese wrapped up in itself or wrapped in lettuce, protein shakes, chicken and fish with various spice mixtures from walmart.
There's a recipe I read that I'm eager to try...stuffed red pepper with a tuna/mustard combination.
I loved the following and ate the following all the time. Bear in mind I am not a veggie lover so they tend not to be veg, but no reason you can't serve with a big salad or veggies.
Omelettes and frittatas - all kinds whatever meat and veg you like
Have you had the South Beach "Meatzza"? Google for recipe. It's good when you have a pizza craving. It's no pizza, but it is those flavors.
Grilled chicken with pesto and mozzarella cheese melted on it.
Turkey White Bean Chili
Cauliflower Puree (I have recipe somewhere, but again you can Google). It's made with garlic and FF half and half, if I remember and it's really good - almost a mashed potato substitute!
Dill pickles are no carbs! I believe cucumbers are low/no carb, celery, string or block cheese, avocado, eggs, shrimp, tuna, and chicken. Don't forget pork skins/rinds (that's a regional term for sure, but not sure if it's a regional food). You can do peanut butter and low sugar, fiber added jelly on a low carb high fiber wrap.
Trying to think of more things that I learned about and bought today because I started totally unprepared this morning and nearly starved to death...
