DH and I purchased our home on 10/14 and now that we are almost done fixing up the major things it is time to start looking into kitchen appliances: fridge, range/oven, and dishwasher. We want stainless steel but would appreciate some recommendations or rants on styles or brands. Ladies if you have any input on kitchen appliances I would love to hear it
Thanks!
Re: Kitchen Appliances??
Do not get Ge profile dishwashers. We had one in the condo and have one now and both don't work well.
My mom and MIL. Both have Bosch and love them. Not sure about other appliances other than that I would choose not to have an ice maker or water. Ours is broken and it's crazy expensive to fix those.
Uh oh. ....That's not what I want to hear! We woke up on Sunday to water coming from beneath the fridge....FIL thinks its something with the ice/ water dispenser, and he thought it would be inexpensive parts wise. I'm hoping it's not too bad because H refuses to not have water directly from the fridge.
Soft scrub is awesome! I tried some fancy cleaner, and softscrub worked so much better!
when we bought our house we just went with basic models of Kenmore for our Fridge, Freezer, Stove, and washer/dryer from Sears. We've had them for over 2 years now and haven't had any problems with them so far, and they were decently priced. I'm sure Kenmore makes some pretty nice stainless steel stuff. When we were shopping we would go to the store and pick out the appliances we liked, and then go home and read reviews on them. This saved us from buying a washer/dryer combo that got HORRIBLE reviews so I would recommend doing this.
My parents have had several Kenmore appliances as well and have always had good luck with them.
Our dishwasher came with the house-not sure how old it is but it is a Whirlpool and we've been really happy with it.
Have fun shopping!!!
