Christmas Crafts

Anyone have any crafty ideas for Christmas presents?

Re: Christmas Crafts

  • Here is my DIY Gifts pinboard.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • If I do anything it will be tile coasters.  Here's my blog how-to.  Super easy and cheap.

  • I've got Vanilla Extract brewing in the pantry.  I'm gonna try my hand at glitter ornaments.  Make Christmas cards.  Thats all I've got so far.

I tried glitter ornaments too just a couple of weeks ago. They turned out great! I have seen tutorials to use Future floor wax and then you shake the glitter inside - dump out the remains and voila! ... I used Flow Improver though. My ornaments turned out awesome!

I am asking for other craft ideas because I have my family nailed but my IL's are a completely different story. I have a lot of ideas (that cost a lot of money) but we are trying to keep spending under wraps. ... Ok... my husband is trying to keep me under wraps. So, - I was hoping crafty projects could do the trick :)

  • I'm doing a "handcraft Christmas" this year, gift-wise.  So far, I've finished:

    • Hats for FIL and 3 BILs
    • Socks for 1 SIL
    • Beret-style hat and skinny scarf for 1 SIL

    I still have to finish:

    • Plastic canvas weighted companion cube for my sister's boyfriend
    • Hat for my dad
    • Shawl for my MIL

I still have to figure out gifts for the following people:

    • Mom (some sort of something she can wear at work)
    • Sister 1 (no clue)
    • Sister 2 (maybe slipper socks)
    • Sister 1's girlfriend (no clue)

But I still have a month to plan, so I'm good.
