f/u lease renewal

So, DH talked to the property manager.  He agreed to meet us halfway, which is better than nothing.  We'll still be paying too much for this place, but now at least it's not as ridiculous.  We decided to renew for the year because now is really bad timing wise for us to move, as is 6 months from now (oh god, May...).  If we decide we want to leave or if I get KU we plan to just break the lease or maybe move into one of their ridiculously priced 2 bedrooms short term.  Before I sign anything I'm going to find out fo sho how much it will cost/what the terms to break our lease are so that if we do end up doing that I don't have a stupid panic attack about it.

We'll likely just be here the whole stupid year.

Thanks for listening!  Have a treat!

  • Ugh that sucks but at least it's not as much as the original renewal.
  • At least it went well & he went down a bit on the price, some would probably just say tough, you're out of luck.

Hopefully this'll be your last year here!

Yeah, we totally considered just up and leaving, but that is such an overwhelming thought and we are SO busy right now.  We could probably swing it, but it'd be so stressful.  And we'd really only end up saving like $50/month but have a longer commute and be farther away from all the cool stuff we live by, so yeah.

Bummer but we've come to terms with it, and at least they're cutting it down a bit.
