POWER!!!
It's such a beautiful thing! We have power back since the snow storm. We got around 7 inches of snow and have been out of power since saturday. There's a huge amount of damage done here in this town I call home. Now i'm hoping friday the daycare will be open (I know it's a long shot) because DH can't call out again and I have to work.
During the snow storm our power went out at 4pm, I had the flu. My temp was 104. At 4am we had to evacuate the apartments because someone had a few too many candles burning and set their alarms off and then also the generators blew so water pressure dropped and set off alarms. Then we had to evactuate again at 7am. They cancelled halloween. Power lines were EVERYWHERE and now cables and phone lines are just everywhere. My car now needs a new catalytic converter (it sounds awful, like a teenager trying to sup-up a 4 cylinder). Last night i broke out in hives, from what I have no idea. Took benadryl and was just glad we had power! The simple things. Now off to clean up this place, grocery shop and everything else.
What a rough patch. I hope everyone else is doing well.
