Kindle ladies: Library Lending is HERE!

Re: Kindle ladies: Library Lending is HERE!

  • The Westchester Library system recently added Kindle e-books to their online stuff. I might be getting one for Xmas.

  • I tried using the RCLS system and the wait for any of the books I want to read is rediculous. I signed up for "The Paris Wife". The waiting list had 22 people on it, and it's been a few weeks. No e-mail yet notifing me that my name has come up!

ditto ditto ditto.  I'm wondering if it has anything to do with if you don't put your wireless on then the book will remain there until you do.

I just checked my requests and I'm currently #14 for The Paris Wife... and I've been on it for a while as well and 28/37 for Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.  I wasn't having much luck finding things I wanted to read and like lisa5ny said the wait time is insane.

  • I just checked on The Paris Wife. I've only moved down to #20 after about 4 weeks of being on the waiting list. The website says they send you an e-mail letting you know the book is available to you and you have 48 hours to respond or the book goes to the next person on the waiting list.

I realized late last night this is what you probably meant vs. the other library because my friend was texting me about it.  I don't have a prime account and not sure whether at this time getting one is worth it for me.   I'd probably give up my B&N to compensate for some of the cost if I did next time it was up for renewal.  When I was reading about it though it didn't seem that borrowing books was unlimited it said a book a month.   I asked Brent to check if his work has one so I can just use that but he didn't think so.

  • uhm and like a sign from the Amazon Gods themselves B told me today someone sent him an e-mail that said something about ordering something and using their Amazon Prime account so now I'm totally going to swindle my way into getting to use that.
