Re: Poll: Soups
We love Corn and Bacon Chowder, link.
Broccoli Cheese and Potato Soup, super thick and creamy without any cream
link.
And Homemade Tomato Soup from the Williams Sonoma Weeknight Cook Book. This one I don't have the recipe online for. However it is amazing!
There are a few others we plan on trying soon, because I can't get enough soup or chowder in the fall and winter!
Sadly, my soups really have no recipe. I throw shiit together and hope it works. I do chili since it does well with three different beans (black, kidney, and chickpeas). I rotate between turkey sausage in it and beef or ground turkey.
I also do a potato soup BUT it doesn't freeze well which is okay because it is gone fast.
And I now have a butternut squash soup that is easy and freezes well. 1 butternut squash that has been roasted in the oven or boiled then pureed. Add that to 6 cups of thickened chicken/vegetable stock (3 T butter/ 3 T flour to make a rue then add stock). Season with onion powder, nutmeg (I KNOW! YUM), salt, and pepper. I think I got it off of about.com or something.
And every now and then I do a homemade chicken noodle using my chicken I make in my crockpot.
I love soup but M isn't huge on it. He's weird!
Like LL, most of my soup recipes are made on the fly or are just in my head.
Broccoli Cheese Soup
Cheesy Potato Bacon
Chicken Tortilla
Vegetable Beef Barley
And then I have a few pinned on Pinterest but haven't tried yet.

What's Cooking just did a soup/stew swap, there are some good ones in there:

I modified this Taco Soup to our family's taste but it really good. I like to hide ground chicken or ground turkey in this recipe because DH never notices the difference.

Creamy chicken and wild rice soup
I also add in some carrots and celery.
