Need to find a new OB - Lincoln

Who do you use?

What are the wait times like as well as bedside manner?

My ob isn't in practice anymore...

Re: Need to find a new OB - Lincoln

  • I go to Dr Hayes. I like him well enough. He is kind of forceful with opinions(about immunizations and what not), but Ive always liked that when I have an appointment with him he takes the time to thoroughly explain everything to me. Ive heard he is very pro natural birth, I think he is one of the only docs that will attempt VBACs. The wait has never seemed too long to me. Maybe 45 TOPS. I think that happened like once.

  • I see Dr Yvonne Davenport with Lincoln OBGYN. I never have had to wait long for her at all. The nurse always calls you back very fast and she is in the room to see you within 5 minutes or less I think the longest I had to wait was 15 min (once). Her bedside manner is great as well. She always made me feel like she actually cared. She is also very fast and efficient yet will give you the time you need when you have a question and doesn't make you feel like she doesn't have the time. My sister-in-law and one of my BFFs see her as well and feel the same way.

  • I love Dr Cada with gynecology and fertilityPC. I have only met one other of her partners Eisenhower and she was good too. I have always got in either on time or alittle before my appt time.Only usually only wait 5-10 mins for the doctor.I have had no issues whatsoever!

  • Dr. Svjetlana Dziko with the Women's Clinic of Lincoln is super duper awesome. I really can't say enough good about her. We wanted to switch to a midwife for my pregnancy with Amelie but I couldn't leave her, even for the benefits of a midwife. Turned out I got the best of both worlds with Dziko.

She'll tell you like it is but she doesn't hesitate to give you a hug and make you feel like you're the best mom in the world. She's been perfect for us. She's technically family practice so I see her for everything as does the rest of my family. I like having everything streamlined like that. Sick? Pregnant? Broken butt from falling down the stairs like an idiot? one call. :-)

(plus she has a really awesome sounding accent and amazingly crazy, curly hair. she's great)

Wait times are usually short unless she's off delivering a kid. The offices aren't typically super busy either so I don't feel like I'm sitting in a crowded room all the time.

  • I see Dr. Eisenhauer at Gynecology & Fertility PC.  They are located at Bryan East.  I thought she was great, as well as all her partners...Dr. Cada & Dr. Mahoney especially.  I didn't have an "easy" birth process, and Dr. E was very calm and direct throughout.

She was open to what I wanted, but gave me her opinion.  She was on her way out of town when I was in labor, and she stayed and delivered D before she left--that meant a lot to us.  She was also the only one after the fact that made me feel better about BF.  DD was a month early and a c-section, so my milk didn't come in for 5+ days.  Since DD was so little, there was tons of pressure to feed her as she couldn't afford to lose any weight.  The nurses and Lactaction Consultants had me completely stressed & overwhelmed by Day 2.  Dr. E talked me down and made me feel better about it.  She said to give it 2 weeks...if it doesn't work within 2 weeks, it won't and not to worry about it.  I needed to hear that from someone, and it helped me stop stressing over it.  Probably TMI, but that was definitely a turning point in my post-baby sanity thanks to Dr. E.  I never remember having any horrible wait times.  Highly recommend!

  • I enjoy Dr Cada with Gynecology and Fertility. I have always gotten in on time and never more than a 5 or 10 min wait in the back. Staff are pleasent too.I have seen her partner Eisenhower and enjoyed her too. My sister and a good friend see her and no problemsbut I know a nestie didn't really love her so much.

  • After a heart to heart with my OB and her nurse, I like her.  That being said, I LOOOOOOVE the practice.  The three other partners are fabulous--Dr. Bowers and Dr. Fiala (the PA is Tami Clark) at Physicians for Women, even if my kid sits with Dr. Bowers' daughter every day in kindergarten, I'm cool with her seeing my lady parts every time my Dr isn't around.

Dr. Cada was my first OB when I was pregnant with Peyton.  I waited a LOT to see her and thought she was kind of a b.  But that's just me :)
