LOVE it!
We're thinking of redoing our kitchen floor---details? Where did you find/get it? How much (if you don't mind disclosing per square foot)?
It's from Daltile. The line is called Fabrique and the color is Brun Linen. We got 40% off since we're in the design business. DH handled the transaction so I honestly have no idea what it costs Joe Public, sorry.

Looks great! I like the tile. It's one that I don't really like when I only see 1 tile in the store, but I really like when I see it on a whole floor. Nice choice.
We are currently debating bathroom floor tile. These decisions are difficult.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
We ended up hiring the guy who kept calling DH and offering a great deal. He did a good job. There is one tile with the corner poking up a bit higher than I like so I want to have him come back and reset that tile. I can't imagine how many corners we'd have sticking up if we attempted to DIY it so I'm VERY glad we hired him.
There was one grout line a tiny hair thicker than all the others but no one will ever notice and I will admit to be extreeeeeemely picky. So all-in-all it turned out really well! :-)
We hired this out because we had never tiled before and these are big tiles (which can be tricky.) DH found a guy who offered a GREAT deal so we took him up on it.
What kind of remodeling advice are you looking for?
Yes, the D&R board is friendly and helpful! :-)
I will admit to being a complete tile snob...I don't care for, well, most tile. :-) DH brought home a few samples that he was in love with and I had to veto. Then he brought this stuff home and it was love at first sight. It really is a beautiful tile. I love it. I love the rectangular subway pattern on the floor...square tile just doesn't do it for me usually.
And YAY for bathroom tile!! It's going to look great I'm sure! Will you send me a picture when you're done? :-)
I hear you on the tile snob thing. We went to the Tile Shop this weekend and I vetoed almost everything in our budget. Apparently I have expensive taste. I was totally drooling over the marble floor tiles and glass wall tiles
We're going for timeless and classic, so are just trying to choose between white hex or white basketweave for the bathroom floor.
I'll for sure send or post a picture when we're done. We start demo next week and are very excited.
Good luck completing your project. I love seeing the work people are doing on their homes.
The tile is great! I am pretty sure we had that tile in full size samples at my last job and I love it.
I am a tile/carpet/finish snob but I know I can't afford my tastes
So far it hasn't been an issue because we haven't done any new finishes in our house. I want to tile our shower but the glass tiles and mosaics I like are way spendy.

Heads up- mention the Young House Love blog at the tile shop and they should give you 10% off. I think the promo code is YHL10. And if you haven't checked out their blog, do so! Fantastic stuff :-)
