i feel like a jerk but...
so yesterday's post about fav wedding photo got me thinking that although the photography was amazing, i feel like because i was atleast 50lbs heavier at my wedding than i am now, i don't think i look that beautiful any more. 
i usually don't need a pity party but it kinda makes me depressed that when i'm old, i will look back and think.. the next couple years i was skinnier, why didn't i try harder for my wedding?
so, what do you think about me getting my dress altered and having new pictures taken when i lose a little more?

Why don't you buy yourself something new and fabulous, and have new portraits made?
Three years after our wedding I had a cosmetic surgery. Sometimes I look at my wedding pics and think that I wish I would have done it before our wedding, but that wasn't me at the time, and that's not how I looked. Somehow to me, it would alter the memory. That's just my personal feelings, though.
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

i know that i'm beautiful at any size.. i've wanted to do a ttd session.. so i was thinking i'd use that as the deal but have some pics taken before we got wet/dirty whatever.. but in my same dress. no wedding recreation. just feeling beautiful in my dress again.. lol, it'd be funny if i asked my bms to dress up again.. LOL! nothing like that.
i plan to do a boudoir session.. h is worried that the originals will go to waste but i think it'll be cool to see.
i know it's a waste of money but i'm not really worried about it.

Hmm nothing dumb/redic about that! I took pictures in my dress 3 times! YES, 3 TIMES haha... Wedding day, up in Alberta. Then we had a open house here for everyone from the church that didn't come up for the wedding. So we took pictures that day. Finally I did Rock the Dress pictures almost a year after the wedding.
So if that's what you want to do, I say go for it!

I was thinking the same thing looking at my wedding pics the other day...I feel like I had a double chin in them and was not happy w/ my weight. I got even lazier about it before the wedding! I don't know why.
But, it's a special day and great pictures and nothing can re-create it. But, you can have lots more amazing pics the rest of your life...a couples session, family pics, whatever. I want to renew our vows at 10yrs and do it simple on the beach in Hawaii like I originally wanted. So, maybe I'll look fab in those ones!

except i think we're gonna go to another tropical place. 
also, i'm not trying to recreate my pics.. but what i thought was silly was getting my dress altered. people take ttd pics all the time, so this would be like that, except we'd get some pics before we start trashing things.
i know i can't go back to the wedding day. believe me, if we could, i would have done that already!
Don't pay to get it altered for pics. That's silly. IMO.
