moms: do I need a bouncer & a swing?
I planed on getting a bouncer and a swing, but H says he thinks they do the same thing....I tried to argue, but I'm not so sure LoL
Do I have this right?
The bouncer seat would be only for when she's little (like the first 6 months?). I like it cause it's easily portable. If I'm getting ready in the bathroom I can have her in there with me.
The swing can be used for longer (like how long?) It can be moved from room to room, but not as easily.
What do you think?
Re: moms: do I need a bouncer & a swing?
This is the name of the thing I am getting i thinK! My friend said her daughter slept in it for the first few months and it was great. Then she moved her to the PNP.
I would of been lost without both! I say 100% yes to the bouncer b/c just like you said, it's portable, you can bring her in the bathroom or wherever you need to be in the house and just plop her in there! We used those things all the time!
My guys loved the swing too but I know some babies hate them. Maybe consider getting a used one at a good consignment sale to try it out before paying full price for a new one.
my read shelf:
Agreed that it depends on the kid. But both of mine loved both their swing and their vibrating papasan chair. And I definitely used them for different things. The swing I used for soothing and quite often napping, whereas the papasan chair I left in the master bath most all the time, and DS was content to sit in there while I showered, got ready, did laundry, etc. but typically she didn't nap in it past the few month or two. At 7.5 mos, she still uses both the swing and the chair- although the swing very seldom lately. These days she loves her jumper the most. If you have the opportunity to get any of those items second hand from a friend, I'd suggest going that route because you never know if they will hate it or love it. I know of quite a few people who their babies just hated their swings, but for me it was a lifesaver!
We had one swing and 2 bouncers and used them all a ton! It is true that some babies don't like the swing, but if they do, then it's a huge help!
I would get one of each bc you can use the bouncer can be used for multi-purposes.... like feeding.
