We haven't done this in a while.....
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet?
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season?
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season?
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight.
Re: Friday Four
1. I haven't bought any yet. I usually do it all after thanksgiving
2. Nothing in particular. My goals are getting out of debt. So I would love to get a card paid off!
3. This will be our first Christmas as a married couple and we don't currently have any special traditions.
4. I love stuffing! And pie!

1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? Nope. I usually start on Black Friday
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? A house?
Can't really think of anything right now since we're saving for the house
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season? I love getting a new ornament every year. We don't have too many holiday traditions other than spending both with my family (his never celebrated either)
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. Not really a treat, but I always look forward to my mom's breakfast casserole on Christmas morning.
Bio Good Times
1. Mine & Mack's Christmas present to each other is travel, and one of our Christmas presents to the kids is Great Wolf Lodge for two days, and both of those have already been "purchased". Dot's big present from Santa has also already been ordered... a wooden retro red kitchenette with stainless steel sink & knobs. It's pretty much the coolest.
2. More than anything, I want to be able to rest and really enjoy Christmas with the family. Lots of Christmas movies and snuggling and hot cider. That's the best part, for me.
3. Mack and I haven't really started any new traditions... we mostly spend Christmas with my family. I'm a Christmas lunatic so I have SO many favorites, but I think the one I love the most is a generational thing. When I was a kid, my Grandy (died in 2001) did advent calendars for my sister & I. My aunt now does them for my children. I like seeing how excited they get as we move closer and closer to the 25th.
5. I'm not much for sweets, but I'll eat second/third/twelfth helpings of green bean casserole. It's not really a holiday treat, I guess, but it's served at Thanksgiving and Christmas and holy YUM batman.
1. Nope we normally start Black Friday. I also have no idea what to get DH for Christmas this year so that is making it even harder. Everything I thought about getting him he has bought is in the process of getting himself.
2. I can't think of what I want this year either. I asked my mom for a Kindle. I figured it would be good for the hospital and then late night feedings without having to have a light or carry a book around. Also can download my books for class next semester (well Summer) and save money on school books.
3. We also get a new ornament every year. It's not always wedding or couple related but something that means something to us. We have started going to ICE at Gaylord every year with my family so I guess that is kind of a tradition.
4. PUMPKIN PIE! I love it. I could seriously eat it all day and eat the whole freaking thing. I love everything about it. I am so glad it's pumpkin season! We are having a "feast" at work next week and I'm bringing pumpkin pie just so I can eat some now instead of waiting until Thanksgiving.
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? I think we all know my answer to this question.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? It sounds silly, but I would really just like for everyone to be healthy and happy, including my puppy dog.
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season? We have Christmas ornaments from everywhere we have traveled together. We also have a first year married ornament from last year. This year I plan for us to get a "first year in our home" ornament.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. Eh, I'm not big on holiday treats actually. I'm the weird one who actually loses weight during the holidays.
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? No - I don't start until Black Friday.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? - Nothing material...but good news about our fertility situation would be pretty great.
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season? DH and I have never actually made it to Christmas day or even Christmas Eve for that matter before opening our gifts to each other. We do a little Christmas alone and then do the one with our family on the actual holiday day.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. Turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and dressing all on one fork - the combo works so well...drooling thinking about it.
I love reading these, and Tiffany I hope everyone is happy and heathy too including Cosmo, how is he doing?
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? Nope, we will start on black friday. Matt wants a new computer so that is our goal this year.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? ummm I really wish we didnt have to buy the computer so we could save up to travel. Matt and I have never been travelers and after the honeymoon I want to become travelers and take at least one trip a year but with a new computer and saving for a house I just dont see it happening.
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season? Matts bday is on the 18th so we have always started opening 1 present per day on the 18th and then finish up Christmas morning. Even though we are not doing a tree I am buying us a first christmas ornament.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. CRANBERRY SAUCE, I.love.it (homemade not canned) and no one in the house does so its bad cause I eat it all.
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? yes, I've bought a couple. Dad is taken care of, and I have a stocking stuffer for Mom and a little thing for my niece. I know what to get James and my sister, and have a couple ideas for BIL, so I feel like I have a little headstart... but probably in another month, I'll be in the same position, so who knows.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? I really want a Silhouette. I'm not dying for it or anything, I just think it would be lots of fun to have!
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season? We didn't really start any traditions last Christmas. We have been doing the same thing for the past several years. I do really want to make stockings for our house, even though we don't spend Christmas in town. At my parents, we have felt stockings with felt designs and sequins and beads and stuff. They're really cute... and I want to make some similar ones for our house. Different designs, but same idea, and I've also been brainstorming ideas for future kids' stockings, because, you know, they all need to coordinate.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. COOKIEEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And also pecan pie.
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet?
I bought my brother some glasses that have quotes from "The Hangover" on them. Other than that, I don't have any other presents bought.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season?
I still don't know what I would like for Christmas other than not having to go to Baton Rouge. Sadly, I think that is one present Santa won't be able to help with.
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season?
We have been going to ICE every year since we started dating. In fact, we went on our fourth date. I love ICE!!!!!
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight.
Angie, I can't wait for pecan pie!!!!!
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? Yes (sorry Tiffany). I went ahead and got something for my CWs at work because they sold out of it last year.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? Not really.
3. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? I love making Ben's stocking and watching him open it. Since he's Jewish, he never had one before and he loves it. I'm also hoping he'll go with me to church on Christmas Eve like he did last year.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. Egg nog!
With All the Trimmings
Just do it!
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? No. I know this sounds strange, but I think adult Christmas gifts are kind of ridiculous. My family has a system now where we draw names and then buy for my nephew. I tried to force the same process with my in-laws last year, but it didn't go over very well. So right now...I don't even know who we will buy for.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? I'll follow Tiffany's lead. Last year, we had to wait until Christmas Eve to get some test results for my dad (thank God they were all positive!) and that made the holiday season very stressful and on edge. I honestly just want my "normal" back this year.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. I have a serious sweet tooth all year long so the holiday sweets are just icing on the cake!!!
Julie- I got really confused why your brother would want eye or sun glasses with quotes on the stems. Then my brain kicked in and I realized you meant drinking glasses!
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet? Nope, I have a few ideas, but haven't decided anything for sure.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season? Maybe I'm just feeling extra-reflective since my 30th birthday is coming up, but I'm starting to realize that the things I really want, nobody can buy for me. What I want more than anything is to find a full-time job, get our own place, and start a family. And I want my friends and family to get all they want also.
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season? We don't really have any traditions that are just ours (yet). Last year we bought our niece pajamas for Christmas and they're still her favorite ones (even though they're too small now), so I think we might start getting PJs for the nieces and nephew every year as a tradition.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight. Christmas cookies. Any flavor, any time.1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet?
Nope. But I have lots of ideas.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season?
I want a Kindle.
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season?
We also have our own 'private' Christmas and open gifts before Christmas and before we travel to whoever's house.
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight.
My Grandma makes all kinds of goodies. And I love them all!
1. Have you bought any Christmas presents yet?
I actually have 1 present and only bc it's an ornament that I got on major sale from last season. I never buy early and only have a few ideas so far. I'm like Tiffany though, I wait.
2. Is there something that you really want more than anything this holiday season?
Either Tall brown riding boots or black western boots
3. I know some of us are starting our own traditions. What tradition have you and your husband started that you are looking forward to the most? For the new OMHs, what are you looking forward to most during your first married holiday season?
I am definitely an ornament lover and we bought our first one as married couple in Eureka Springs last weekend. I'll also find a 1st year married one too. We'll be starting Christmas cards too this year. Other than that, I'm not sure what we will do yet. I'm looking forward spending time with DH and our families!
4. What is your favorite holiday treat? You know, the one you're willing to eat even if it means gaining a little (or a lot) of weight.
Pumpkin Pie!! Delish!
You will love it.
BTW, how is Pottermore?
