S/O movies

What have you seen recently that you liked? Anything coming out soon that you're looking forward to seeing?

Re: S/O movies

  • I watched Thor, which I liked. But mostly because that man has a fine body. My H didn't like it. I don't think there is anything coming out that I'm looking forward to. I'm hoping they get rolling with #2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians though.

  • This is the last movie I saw:

I dont know what is coming out.

  • Over the Halloween weekend, we watched a few scary movies.

One was a Spanish movie called The Baby's Room. It was pretty scary but ended stupidly.

  • I recently saw Ernest: Scared Stupid.  Did not like.

  • I saw Horrible Bosses a few months ago and actually enjoyed it far more than I expected to.  Frankly, I expected it to be terrible.  And while I think Jason Sudeikis is funny, he's not terribly versatile.  Kind of like a much less goofy Adam Sandler...what he does is funny, but it's all he does.

    That's an oldie Kuus.

I know.  I'd successfully avoided Ernest movies for at least twenty years until earlier this week.  Blech.

  • I finally saw Bridesmaids, which I thought was funny, and I saw Bad Teacher, which, to my surprise, I also thought was funny.

I think I would like to see Moneyball. I don't know what else is out. Is that even still out?

FI and I really wanted to see this because we both love baseball, but we are terrible at having movie dates. We have gotten better about going to the movies, but missed this one. It was playing in our second run movie theater about two weeks ago, but has already been replaced. Boo.

We saw 50/50 two weeks ago and although it was pretty depressing, I really liked it.

  • We watched The Tourist a couple of weeks ago and fell asleep about 3/4 of the way through it, so I didn't see the ending.  What I saw was good!  We still have the DVD, so maye we can re-watch it tonight so we know how it ends.

I didn't like Bad Teacher (wasted money at the theater watching it).  I do want to rent Horrible Bosses though.  That's next on my Netflix list.

  • Does the guy die at the end of 50/50?  I don't want to have to watch the movie to find out.

  • What is 50/50?

Marty- is The Tourist the one with Brad Pitt in Italy? If so, the book is WAY more interesting.

Um,Marty?  That would be Morty! LOL

It's actually the one with Angelina (you were close, kinda)  and Johnny Depp and I think they're in France?  I can't remember which country they were in...somewhere in Europe!

Sorry! I didn't even notice that I had done that. Brain fart. Finger slip. I know your name, I swear!

  • 50/50 is the one w/ Joseph Gordon Levitt and Seth Rogen, where JGL develops back cancer and it's about learning to survive and how he learns to lean on his family and friends for support. Kuus - he doesn't die.
