Audrey's birth story

I posted her birth story on the blog today (with pics). I won't repost it here cause it would be super long, but I wanted to let you know it was there to read if you're interested:)

  • OMG Rach, you have me in tears over here, but I'm so happy everything worked out in the end, and that you had a happy and healthy baby to call your own.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- she's absolutely gorgeous.

  • What a beautiful story, Rach! I'm so glad that everyone came out of it healthy and happy. Audrey is absolutely gorgeous! Congrats again!
  • I loved reading it Rach! She is sooo cute, those little cheeks. I'm glad everything turned out ok, it sounded pretty nerve wracking there in the middle. I'm also starting to face the option of being induced, and I'm really not looking forward to it, but I'm glad to hear your story and you didn't even need it!
  • Thanks for sharing - she is too cute

  • This seriously sounds a LOT like Charlotte. what is it with our girls. We didnt need the Cervadil, we kept losing her heart rate (we got to 60 once but them flipping me around seemed to work). I was so close to a c-section and glad that didnt happen to us, but I am glad your little one is safe and BEAUTIFUL! (not that I would think anything else from you two!!!)

Oh wow, really?! I'm glad it worked out for you! This recovery kinda sucks! But of course, I don't care...as long as she's safe and healthy!

  • So exciting! *runs off to read*

  • Beautiful story Rach. I'm sorry that things didn't go exactly how you imagined, but glad everything worked out well with the c-section. Happy and healthy is definitley the most important thing! She's gorgeous and I'm so happy for you.

Beautiful story and I'm so glad everything worked out :)  Again, she's so precious!

This is also similar to Alex and had me tearing up reading it because it completely took me back.  Especially when you said something along the lines of "early that day you weren't even in labor and didn't think you'd be having a baby that day" because that was us.   Alex's heart rate also dropped twice while I was being monitored which is part of what lead the midwife and docs to suggesting a c-section for us.

They could tell by ultrasound that Alex was rolling on his cord because of his breech position in my stomach and wear the cord was and they were nervous he would do it when I wasn't being monitored and wouldn't know to change positions and therefore he could have died.  His also dropped down to the 60's, very scary!

  • A little late on this but thank you for taking the time to write it; I know how exhausting it is getting through each day in the first few months!  Audrey is beautiful and I'm so glad both of you got through it!!!

    Congrats Again MamaSmile
