Am I the only one who doesn't have plans for Thanksgiving yet?
During the 4 years my XH and I were together, I always had Thanksgiving with his family. The last year we were together my parents joined in. Last year was my first Thanksgiving after getting divorced, and my brother and SIL ended up hosting it and inviting my parents and I.
This year, I have no idea what we're doing. I've talked to my brother about it and he thinks they are going to go over to my SIL's parents house this year, so that just leaves my parents and I. Before I was married, the tradition was to have it at my Aunt's (mom's sister) house. My mom has talked to my Aunt about it, but she's not sure what they're going to do either. I feel like it's going to come down to a last minute decision, which I hate because I'm the planning type.
If my Aunt ends up hosting, I will ask her if L and his DD can come, and we'll bring some dishes to pass. If not, I will plan to ask my parents to have it over at L's condo (which would require us to do the cooking)
I just hate being in limbo...

Re: Thanksgiving (vent of sorts)
I would if my parents would commit to coming to L's house, which they won't do until they hear from my Aunt. If say I'm hosting and then my Aunt says she's hosting, they will probably go to her house and then I'm expected to be there.
My Aunt and Uncle live on a farm about an hour and a half away, so I doubt they would want to travel to his house.
Then I'd email both your mom and your aunt and say mom and aunt. I would like to host thanksgiving this year, unless you are planning to aunt. I need to know by x date so I can make plans.
Yeah I like this idea, but in a nice way of course.
I have no family(besides my son) except for stbxh and his parents.
I still dont have plan except I decided to sign up for a 5k walk that my company sponsors. I am taking my son and put him in the bob. At least I don't have to worry about gaining weight on Thanksgiving day.
