I think I'm going to take myself on a movie date tonight. I don't know what to see though. I want something light-ish, and I HATE scary movies. I haven't seen anything that's in the theatre. I was thinking The Rum diaries or The Help. Thoughts?
Re: What movie to see?
I heard the movie was good. I want to see it!
That heist movie looks pretty funny, or at least distracting and amusing. It came out today, the one with Ben Stiller, Matthew Broderick and Eddie Murphy...
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
It didn't open at my theater yet...
movie or book? do you know how similar they are?
I saw In Time on Sunday and I thought it was great. It's not scary, and there are light moments. I'd choose this if I were you.
Moneyball was pretty good, funny at times, but a little intense at times too.
If Drive is still playing where you are, I thought it was a good movie, but it's not light. At all.
I didn't like The Help, but most people I know did. There are funny moments, but there are some sad moments too (I know more than a few people that cried), so if you're looking for something completely light, that may not be the movie.
I haven't seen the Rum Diaries, so I can't give an opinion on that.
Have fun, no matter what you go see!
Both. I read the book. LOVED it and saw the movie. The movie is very similar to the book. They just omitted some things from the movie that would explain a couple of the story lines more in depth.
