Sweet Genius - no spoilers

MH and I just caught this show last night and were laughing and getting sucked in.  I will admit that I saw a clip of this show on Talk Soup beforehand, so I was going in a little biased.  But I just love Ron Ben-Israel and his mannerisms.  He is a true sweet genius though, we were lucky to have a RBI's bakery do our wedding cake and it was spectacular and delicious.  It's been 3 years since we got married and I cannot bear to throw away the topper.  We ate some at the 1st and 2nd anniversary but it's not edible anymore.  But it's still beautiful.

Any fans of the show?  What did you think of the bonsai tree challenge if you saw it?

Re: Sweet Genius - no spoilers

  • The theatrics are a little over the top for me, but I do enjoy watching.  I flinched when the guy cut the bonsai tree and had to laugh when RBI was berating him for it.  Taking a part of the tree and sticking it on your desert =/= being inspired by the bonsai tree.

LOL, exactly this!  I was dying.

  • i have caught this show a couple times, when does it usually air? I would like to keep watching. The one I saw they had to use popping candy, jawbreakers and curry or something along those lines.
