Cordless Phones

Does anyone have the cordless phones where it's one main phone and then a bunch of handsets you can put around the house?  Do you have issues where you go to use them and they just.........die.  Not like die like the battery is dead but more like lose connection or something.

It happens all.the.freaking.time and there is no pattern.  It seems to happen most to me when I go to use it for an important work call (either placing or answering).  I have Googled and Googled and I can't find a thing on it.  If you have it, have you managed to fix it?

I ended up ordering new phones last week from Amazon which FedEx says it delivered....only they didn't arrive.  It just happened again when I went to call this VP here and I feel like an a$$.  She was like "did you call and hang up?...."  FML.

Re: Cordless Phones

  • We have cordless phones with 1 main one and then 2 other handsets.  We have one upstairs and two downstairs.  We bought them shortly before I had the twins because our other one the battery kept dying.  These have been great so far and no cutting out or dying batteries!  It's an AT&T one.  It came with an answering machine part, but really, why do they bother because who needs an answering machine anymore???
  • We do and haven't had problems, but we hardly ever use our land line.

  • Just me, I guess.  I literally almost threw the whole damn thing out the window today.  SO frustrating.  Thankfully Amazon is overnighting us a replacement at no cost - we'll see how this works.

We use our landline and answering machine - so funny.  We don't get great cell reception indoors (stucco house, dead zone, etc).

  • Maybe you just have a faulty phone? I would throw it out the window and get a new one.

  • My mom's phones have this issue. Mine do not but I hardly use mine.
