Stolen from MM: What's a "gross" food that you LOVE?
Me? I LOVE popcorn flavored Jelly Bellys. Raw pepperoni. Various wild game jerkys. I recently sampled pickeled deer heart which was delish.
Re: Stolen from MM: What's a "gross" food that you LOVE?
Me, too!
I don't love this... but on Halloween, I tried one of the Harry Potter jelly beans (unknowingly, I should add...) And it happened to be the vomit flavored one. Worst practical joke ever, I thought it was the peach flavored one. Dan ended up eating the earthworm flavored one. Soooo gross.
Anywho... I like brussel sprouts especially when they are roasted.

So what am I thinking now???
Another thing I like that most ppl don't is liver and onions... I was that weird kid that would order it from IHOP every other time we would go. I'm pretty sure I would try anything once. Except the HP jelly beans. Never again.

You're thinking "damn, I could go for some liver and onions with brussel sprouts. And jelly beans for dessert."
Of what's listed above, I love raw pepperoni and roasted brussel sprouts.
I can't think of other weird/gross foods I love, but I know they are there. I love spinach? I never met a stinky cheese I didn't love?
Chicken gizzards! Nom nom nom.
ETA: Oh yea I also like to eat smoked bacon. Raw. But its not reeeally raw because its smoked, right?
Actually, I could go that....

I'll let my southernness shine and say I love beef jerky, fried pork skins, boiled peanuts, and fried pickles. When I was a kid, my dad would make squirrel gravy for breakfast. I don't remember it, but I loved it when I was little. People (even in Alabama) flip the f out when I tell them that.
My favorite snack when I was a little girl were sardines. My grandaddy owned a gas station and mini-mart and when we'd visit we got to pick something. I'd always pick the sardines with jalapenos. I was like 4. I still don't think they taste horrible. I don't buy them, but I could eat them if they were available (and I wasn't giving up canned goods).
I like all vegetables. Spinach, brussel sprouts, asparagus, broccoli, bring it. I can't think of a veggie I don't like...... oh radishes. That's it.
I also never met a stinky cheese I didn't like.
Why do people flip out? I've had squirrel before and it's pretty good. You have to kill a LOT of those little bastards to get any decent amount of meat out of them. I like rabbit too, but when I tell people I like rabbit meat in my spaghetti, they look at me like I have three heads.
I guess just because they're cute and fluffy. Or because they're rodents. Most people (even in Alabama) don't eat squirrel. My dad's pretty redneck.
I'm super picky about meat now. I wouldn't eat squirrel, rabbit, any kind of organ, any kind of meat that isn't at least med-well. (RAW bacon, really Stees!) I can't even eat a chicken finger without dissecting it. No fat or gristle can touch my mouth.
I don't judge anyone's eating of wild animals (obviously) but I can't bring myself to eat a rabbit unless its like...a rabbit someone buys at a farm. Whose destiny was to be dinner. I cannot eat a furry little bunny that was bouncing along in the meadows one second and on my plate the next.
And Mal's right, it take a fuckton of squirrels to make anything worth eating.
I also like corned beef hash which apparently is weird?
Is beef jerky considered gross? I eat a lot of jerky. Beef, turkey, deer...I like all jerky, and we make our own.
Also, fried pickles are delissshhhh.
* Jerky is awesome. Ever had lion jerky? I highly recommend.
* I like (wouldn't go so far as to say love) dried out meat. Like, when you grill chicken breast or something, and there's that one little piece that gets all leathery and dry? I'll eat it. Probably b/c I love jerky.
* I have tried Arby's sauce on many things. It's goooooood.
* I love pickles in my salads and on my tacos. Pickled green tomatoes are a godsend.
I've been bitten by just about every rabbit I've come into contact with in my life...I have no issue eating them.
I do appreciate the cute fuzziness though.
I like corned beef too. LOVE corned beef and cabbage.
