Opinions: Gift for Parents' 30th Anniversary
Their first grandchild!
I'm 10 weeks today and I'm due June 1st; 11 days before their 30th wedding anniversary. And
considering I was 23 days late, I think the odds are in favor of this baby
being late too (but we'll see, you never know). So s/he may be born right
around their anniversary. Side note: I got my BFP the day Sarina was born. 
Please nothing on FB. We're not telling our families until Thanksgiving, but I couldn't hold out any longer not telling you girls!

Also, I was 3 weeks early and my baby is now fashionably 8 days late, so ya never know :-)

I literally gasped and put my hands over my mouth when I saw the u/s picture. I'm THRILLED for you and Mark!! Congrats and a super H&H 9 months to you!!!

I'm actually kind of nervous to tell our parents. They are in serious denial that they are in grandparent age (my parents are in their mid 50's and MIL is in her mid 60's so there's really nothing wrong with them being grandparents already). I just don't want to get a negative response, you know.
I'm super excited to tell our siblings and friends.
We are big HIMYM fans and I love the scene where Lily is trying to decide if she wants a baby and she finds her neighbor's son's sock and just keeps repeating 'but sock' when Robin tries to remind her of things she may want to accomplish before having a baby. So I bought a pair of socks and went into our room where DH was still sleeping. I turned on the light next to the bed and he said 'sleep' and I held up the sock and said 'but sock'. He didn't quite put two and two together so after saying 'but sock' a few times I said I tested and it was positive.
Super cute.
CONGRATS!!! I totally opened this post thinking, hum what did we get my parents for their 30th?? Your gift is way better

I've been feeling surprisingly well. Pretty much no m/s, thank God. I thought I would have it bad. Same OB as you.
We will probably find out. I'm very impatient and have wanted to know since we found out I was pregnant. DH doesn't care either way. He said I could pick. If the baby doesn't cooperate we'll wait until delivery.

Thanks everyone! I just lucked out that I ended up being due right near their anniversary and it happened to be a big anniversary.
So yes, I knew at the GTG but I wasn't ready to tell yet. I didn't have my first appointment until the next week and because I was having like no symptoms other than bloating I was really nervous about seeing an empty sac. But the tech found the heartbeat immediately (at 166bpm)!
YAY!!! So happy for you and what a great way to tell us.
I am so excited we will be having another wave of summer babies in 2012!!
I was exactly the same way. And what few symptoms I did have all but disappeared right around 10 weeks, so don't be surprised if that happens!

I love that OB office too - I have no complaints and have always felt really comfortable with all the doctors (Well, I haven't met Dr B. yet, but I like the others, and really like Drs T and R).
