Songs for a 2 year old slideshow
Yes, Im that mom. I did a slideshow of photos for DDs first year and plan on doing another one for her upcoming birthday this year. Any ideas of good songs for a 1-2 year old girl slideshow?
To give you an idea of our "style", the songs for her first slideshow were:What Can I Do But Love You by Joy Williams, Shes Gotta Way by Billy Joel, and 1,2,3,4 by The Plain White Ts (right? I never remember who sings that).
Here are the few Im thinking about for this year, but Id love other ideas of any genre: Life Less Ordinary by Carbon Leaf, Father Daughter by Al Simon, Everybody by Ingrid Micaelson, Charmed Life by Joy Williams (what is with me and Joy Williams!?)

there is a new muppet cd that has current indie/pop artists doing muppet songs. we really like the weezer cover of rainbow conncetion. there are a few other good songs on that one.
is there anything dd really likes to sing and dance to at home? ds is partial to van morrison and jimmy buffet so that is what i would use for him. oh, and maybe tom jones sex bomb.
Good thought, she dances to anything from commercial jingles to her own inner voice. Ill have to think about what really grabs her though.
i'm always a sucker for "isnt she lovely" by stevie wonder on little girl slideshows...
and this doesn't sound like it really goes with the rest of your "style" but i think it's martina mcbride who has a song "in my daughter's eyes". it's all tender and sappy if you go for that sort of thing.
I do love "isnt she lovely" and stevie in general. I think I like him more because he's blind--is that wrong?!
I used Lantern by Josh Ritter for a one year video/pic montage I put together (that mom here too). The song got rave reviews.
Brushfire Fairytales by Jack Johnson or 59th St Bridge Song (Feelin Groovy) by Simon and Garfunkel also come to mind for the "slow down" lyrics.

Oh there's a beautiful song I did for a montage when my son was born but i can't remember who sings it. It's goes " you're so amazing, you shine like the stars". Really pretty. if i find the name i'll come back
