Crafts
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Does anyone have an ETSY account to see crafts? If so what are your thoughts on it? What is needed to set an account up?
I am thinking I would like to set something up but really don't know to much about it. Is it better then attending craft shows?
What are other ways to promote and advertise a possible craft business for starters?
Thanks In Advanced
Re: ETSY....
You don't have to have an account to browse, but I'm pretty sure you need one to order.
Having a (successful) etsy shop is a lot of work. I think going to craft shows is easier. I know there are some Nesties with successful etsy stores, hopefully they'll chime in.
There are also boards on etsy for these types of questions.

I use Etsy to sell, and I enjoy it alot. It is simple. and I don't have time to go to craft shows and what I specailize in is big in my area at craft shows but, not on Etsy. It does take work but if you put just a little time in even just once a week it can be rewarding. and they have fun free ways of promoting your shop that let you explore Etsy also.
Hope this helps, just noticed the date on the original post.
