Hmm I didn't even think about the chances of them not being open because of the storm. If we're going to do Lulu's then it has to be on Sunday because they don't open until 11am on Saturday. If we do Saturdays we'll either have to do Ihop again. There's always local diners as an option for either day as well.
I think it should just be up to whoever decides to take it upon themselves to plan it!

Why does everyone else have to be flexible and Rocklanders not??
I think it was pretty evident to assume in her original post that she was making the plans. What I was saying was a generalized statement to appletini that it shouldn't be about where most people are coming from IMO it's up to whoever wants to plan it. I was not applying that Jezz had not taken on the reigns.
And I'm pretty sure when it has been planned in other places Rocklanders have come... I have carpooled several times with people to Gloria's or Billy Joe's... and most recently I think Kendra316 went up to something planned at Gloria's... correct me if I'm wrong.
Karen plan one for December up there! GTG's are supposed to be fun not about bickering where the heck it is!
I think it can potentially be anywhere but it's an issue of someone jumping in and deciding to put something together. We've gotten together in Rockland a few times but that's just because someone down here suggested that we gtg. I think it's unfair to say that the Rocklanders won't travel when there hasn't been anything planned anywhere at all for all of us in quite some time.
I do think that if enough people are available on one particular day we should be able to find something more convenient for all, that much is true.
Also, regardless of date and location, there will be some who can't make it for whatever reason.
Which is what I am saying, since several people asked. Take a vote.
