  • I'm sorry Lucky! That sounds so frustrating! Do you have another opinion set up? Can you get neurologist recs from people you know?

  • Ok, not to sound bossy, BUT get more opinions. I know this is frightening and extremely stressful. Please call me if you want to talk. Huge hugs!

  • I'm very sorry, I'm sure that must be so frustrating.  I hope you get answers soon!
  • I'm so sorry, Lucky. I agree that more opinions are needed. I hope you get some answers soon.

  • I am sorry that sounds so frustrating.  I hope you guys are able to find another doctor that can give you a solid diagnosis.

  • Thanks guys. We are definitely seeking more opinions. The issue is with getting in to see these docs since it can take forever to get appointments. My mom is a trooper though so she's trying to keep her chin up.

  • Wow, I am really sorry you and your poor mom went through that.  I can't understand why the doctor was so dismissive!

  • Has she been to Mayo Clinic?  The Drs there are awesome!!

We are fortunate to have them here in Jacksonville.

    They can diagnose anything....

I wish y'all the best of luck, and hope she finds some answers soon!

  • I missed the post, but I am sorry you didn't have a good visit.  I do 2nd the mayo suggestion, though. Diagnosis is really their specialty, and they have a 3-day plan of action in which they send you to a ton of appointments with different specialists and then look at that combined big picture to come up with a diagnosis and a plan of treatment. It is designed for the convenience of folks who may have travelled long distances to come there and can't just come back in 2 weeks for a follow-up.. but I am sure they could still do a similar plan for someone local.  They aren't cheap, but I think they accept more insurance plans than they did several years ago.

  • I didn't get to respond earlier but I am really sorry.  It sucks big time and it sounds like that doctor is a tool box.
